Kanna raises his pulse carbine, ready to fire.
The carbine hovered as the creature and Ur'na struggled, Ur'na was attempting a rip'yka maneuver.

"Back off and Ill gun him down!" he tells his un-bonded brother.

He awaits the opportunity to fire without the threat of friendly fire.

You will get a +10 for distance, but it is still a miss. The re-roll is a jam and a complication. Per the updated Reload Rules:

Complications: If a player rolls a Complication (any BS roll of 90-100), one of the character’s Reloads may be removed as a result. If the character has no Reloads remaining, then such a Complication renders a weapon unusable until more ammo can be located - standard Jamming rules apply. Ex: If a character rolls a 96, they must clear the jam as per RAW, and then spend a full action reloading - losing a reload in the process.

Unfortunately, you will lose a FP and a reload, and you will need to unjam your weapon next round.

He looks back up to see Ur'na fire at the thing. He wasn't sure what it was doing, but it was standing still and breathing heavily.

He looks back to see where the others were, they were struggling with the dangling appendages, they sure could use Arelene's long rifle about now.

The carbine chimed suddenly. There was no explanation for the sudden, inexplicable failure of the weapon. But at least it would work now....

Theo, you also rolled a critical damage (natural 10) on one of your d10s. Roll an additional 1d5 to see what critical affect happens to your target; this will be the critical damage table for Energy to the Head. Great shot.

IC Write up:

Ur'Na paused momentarily as the creature bellowed, surprised it wasn't attempting to chase her down. With a split second decision, she stood her ground long enough to swap back to the more powerful blaster, and fire directly at the monster's head. Blue fire sizzled across the skin, a solid hit.

I know Arlene is squad leader, but I implore the rest of you to take the reigns in moving the IC forwards and signalling when we are ready to move on. If not, we run the risk of leaving that responsibility up to a single person, and scheduling/real life can make that burdensome.

So, if we are ready to move on, someone give me some IC that shows it is time to go.

Right now it seems as though our three team 4 Shadow Wolves are exceptionally busy in real life. So, that leaves it up to Theo and Nita to pick up the slack. No pressure. Smile

Domhnall, under the new rule system there is no longer a 0 Degrees of success/failure. So count the initialy success or failure as 1 and then count from then from there. In other words, you earned an additional degree of success on both of those rolls.

Theo! I am leaving Su'saum's fate in your hands, my friend. You can roll for her using the same modifiers as Ur'na. This is a little unorthodox, but it saves a lot of time since we don't have to stat an NPC.

LET THE DICE DECIDE.

On the other hand, you could always order Su'saum to do something else.

I had forgotten that you too had fallen. Same rules as Kanna - straight Agility in an attempt to grab on. If you do, -10 athletics OR acrobatics to get 4 DoS before 4 DoF. Failing that, you'll need to burn Fate to survive.
