overwatch, will full auto if the creature is unengaged.

Kanna raises his pulse carbine, ready to fire.
The carbine hovered as the creature and Ur'na struggled, Ur'na was attempting a rip'yka maneuver.

"Back off and Ill gun him down!" he tells his un-bonded brother.

He awaits the opportunity to fire without the threat of friendly fire.

You will get a +10 for distance, but it is still a miss. The re-roll is a jam and a complication. Per the updated Reload Rules:

Complications: If a player rolls a Complication (any BS roll of 90-100), one of the character’s Reloads may be removed as a result. If the character has no Reloads remaining, then such a Complication renders a weapon unusable until more ammo can be located - standard Jamming rules apply. Ex: If a character rolls a 96, they must clear the jam as per RAW, and then spend a full action reloading - losing a reload in the process.

Unfortunately, you will lose a FP and a reload, and you will need to unjam your weapon next round.

Kanna couldn't believe his bad luck as the mechanism froze.
He lets out the obligatory curse, "Orokos!" and finds the stud to reset the componets.

He watches helplessly as Ur'na still had to defend against the freak of nature.

Syl and Murc, remember that any shots at the creature from your positions are still getting a -10 for the cover it is in.

He looks back up to see Ur'na fire at the thing. He wasn't sure what it was doing, but it was standing still and breathing heavily.
"By the ethereals, were just ticking it off. Keep your distance."

50%.....60%

He looks back to see where the others were, they were struggling with the dangling appendages, they sure could use Arelene's long rifle about now.

The carbine chimed suddenly. There was no explanation for the sudden, inexplicable failure of the weapon. But at least it would work now....

This is unnecessary. We are using the Wrath and Glory ammunition/reload rules.

Theo, you also rolled a critical damage (natural 10) on one of your d10s. Roll an additional 1d5 to see what critical affect happens to your target; this will be the critical damage table for Energy to the Head. Great shot.

She said as she squeezed the trigger, launching another bright blue pulse round toward the creature

IC Write up:

Ur'Na paused momentarily as the creature bellowed, surprised it wasn't attempting to chase her down. With a split second decision, she stood her ground long enough to swap back to the more powerful blaster, and fire directly at the monster's head. Blue fire sizzled across the skin, a solid hit.
