Personality
When alone, Ta'ro tends to want to stay away from his own thoughts rather than confronting them head-on. He goes off on long walks and tries to peek in at different armories to check out what they have or what he can try and help with. He always has to be busy with something, whether than is building a new mini-drone, tinkering with the specifications of his pulse rifle, or drawing up schematics for his own battlesuit. Around others he is open to conversation, tending to shy away from being the brooding, angry type. He is a curious fellow, interested in learning new things about those he studies and also new things scholastically.  

Despite his background, he enjoys the company of others and wishes to learn just about everything he can about them. He is a bit nosy at times, always looking to learn more about someone even to the point of making them uncomfortable. He is mostly rebellious, tending to find alternate ways of following orders or finding completely new ways of approaching a problem. He is a bit unpredictable, but he still believes heavily in the doctrine of the Tau Empire. He has reason to brood and be depressed, but he figures what is done is done. It has made him into what he is, and he will use it to better himself. To make himself stronger despite everything pitted against him. Of course, though, he does still hate Orks. 

Background
Ever since Ta'ro was still what the Tau Empire considers a boy, he was always interested in machines. Being born into the Fire Caste, it would have been assumed that he would simply be a warrior, a fighter, as his father and his grandfather before him. His father however, in his spare time, would always tinker and build, finding excuses to do things that would normally be reserved for the Earth Caste. Ta'ro grew up in a household of interesting inventions, crazy contraptions, and plans upon plans for more and more new things. His father was a genius of sorts, but no matter how much he wished to switch to the Earth Caste, these kinds of thoughts were shunned and forced down. He was a Fire Warrior and that was his lot in life. Ta'ro eventually began to help his father with these inventions, learning the intricacies of them and helping out where he could. 

Until that fateful day, everything seemed fine. But, then the Orks came. They came in fast to the sept world of Tash'var, bringing in hundreds of Roks that screamed into the atmosphere. Thousands of orks piled out of their insidious vehicles and began to fight and slaughter many of the helpless Tau. The battle raged for some time as the Tau built up their defenses after the surprise attack. Ta'ro's home was one of the first attacked. His father and brothers did their best to hold off against the crude and unrelenting orks, taking many with them as they fell before the young Ta'ro. A stray rokkit blasted into the home, piling rubble all around Ta'ro and his mother. She was killed by the falling debris and Ta'ro was left to watch as his brothers were cut down by the powerklaws of a mysterious Ork Warboss. Just as the foul beast noticed him, an XV9 Crisis Battlesuit came roaring in, standing toe to toe with the beast and his minions. It slaughtered the puny orks outright and sent the warboss scrambling, throwing explosive squiggs in his wake. The last thing Ta'ro saw was the XV9 Crisis Battlesuit before he blacked out. 

When he came to, his whole life was turned upside down as he was moved to a Tau orphanage for a few years before beginning his training as a Fire Warrior. It wasn't long before he was moving through the ranks and eventually attaining the rank of Cadet. All throughout, he dreamed of piloting a battlesuit, to turn the tide against those who would prey on the weak and the defenseless. He continued his father's legacy of tinkering, toying, and inventing, all the while keeping the image of the Warboss in the back of his mind. His hatred for the orks would never extinguish and he itched for the day when he could cut them down in combat.
