The milky white eyes pierced through his fear of the bullets and replaced it with a fear of what would happen to him if he abandoned this man. You will stay here and continue to fire on those mutants. Do you understand! Rook solidified the point by shaking the man using Jacjonson. When the man nodded dumbly Jacjonson let him go. As the mutant bullets exploded in the air around them and with the ammunition charge in his weapon failing, it was a very easy decision for Ruaidhri to slide down a little further into cover. Hitting the release button on the lasgun, he let the metal cartridge clink down to the ground, while simultaneously pulled a fresh one from his front chest pocket and inserted it into the rifle.

Turning his head to his ducking companion, he indicated his head towards the edge of the wall. Remaining in place Uallachan suddenly shouted.

Due to fatigue, Stubbs takes all the damage. After TB: 14, 14, 6 (leg, leg, body). Applying this as conservatively as possible (one at a time, including True Grit): first shot reduces Stubbs to 5 critical, second shot to 12, third shot to 15.
10+ Energy Crit Leg: In a terrifying display of power, the leg immolates and thick fire consumes the target completely. He dies in a matter of agonising seconds, his scorched corpse surrounded with smoke and flames.

For Ruaidhri, I will count it as only 8 DoS due to his size, but the chameleoline cloak -30 to hit will not come into play for the following reasons:
- Ruaidhri is in front of Jules meaning that even if the cloak made him invisible (which it doesn't), it would be clear that something was blocking Jules and thus soaking up shots that were meant entirely for her.
- He is within close range and the foe is not hampered by the dimness of the environment
- He just spent last round ducking incoming fire and yelling at Jules to get Numa to come up all while in plain sight of the reinforcements.
- Finally, I don't think in this scenario that is in the spirit of what the cloak is meant for.

Brick chipped and shattered, shards flicking up in the air past the Rattlings head. The ledge provided partial cover to the stream of fire coming from directly in front of them. What it didn't prevent though was fire coming from the reinforcements who had just burst through the door.

It all happened in a blink. There was a flash of light and as the familiar flemmy cough of their guns hit his ears, he felt the lancing stab as the bullets stabbed him. The shock of being hit was worse than the actual pain. He couldn't even be sure how bad it was, his body was shielding him. He would only know once bloodloss started to hollow him out. They were certainly backed into a tight corner, the mutants hitting back hard against their incursion. They needed more guns up here, Kaylith and Brick couldn't enter the battle quick enough.

He stilled his arm, fighting back against the surge of adrenaline, and following the quick whispered direction of Uallachan, found the head of one of the new mutants between his sights and pulled the trigger.

Action: Start the truck and back up in a straight line away from the bad people.

As the shooting lessened for a moment, he reached up and turned the truck on, lifting up slightly so his head was showing to get some kind of view, before starting to back up away from chaos.

OK, finally got some motivation. Taking a look at this there are a couple of issues. 1) Dominate is a full round action, though that doesn't mess anything up here. The biggest problem is 2) it's range is 5m x Psy Rating = 10m max for Jules. The enemy squad is 18m away from Jules' current position.

You can push the power (pg. 195 CRB) up to +4 PR. If you pushed to +3 you could make the range; however, you would be forced to roll 1d100+15 (5x PR pushed) on Psychic Phenomena table as you rolled "anything but doubles."

She was surrounded and now exposed, her mesh cloak thankfully protecting her for now, but that wouldn't keep her safe for long. She was not skilled in a fire fight so she fell back to what had kept her alive up until now. This was when she was most dangerous. It was almost a reflex action and one Jules would normally suppress but she could see her predicament so she gathered her power... The eddies of the warp were powerful and violent this time empowered by the death and suffering of the battle, it was almost to much for her. Jules bones ached, her head pounded at the pressures and she tasted blood and ash. At the point where she felt she would be consumed she gritted her teeth and snarls at the enemy who were trying to kill her as she locks eyes with the closest few.

Damage: Not messing with it - it confuses the mechanic switching from single enemy to formation. Going to just say they are both dead.

Nik - This feels like a "Floor It" special action, even though it wasn't specified as such. You're getting shot at, and you're trying to go backwards as fast as the vehicle will take you to not be shot to death anymore. That's a -10 test, bringing your total to 3 DoF, but that's not enough per RAW to lose control. Let's say this vehicle's tac speed is 15m. That's how far you get away this round. It's going to look all wonky on the map, no doubt.

Ballcap will drop prone and attempt to hit Stubbs by shooting under the vehicle.

I see suicidal actions as shoot or stab yourself and things like jump into the lava. Shooting someone else is not a suicidal action action in my view, its an aggressive one certainly.

Well that's just it - you're not simply having them "shoot someone." Regardless of the fact that they're attempting to kill their comrades (in this case hive brothers), it is a lethal action against an overwhelmingly armed force. In this case, it isn't just about the action, it's about the consequences of that action.

Would you consider pointing a weapon at a heavily armed paramilitary force not suicidal then? By the argument you've presented, running at a tank with a bomb is not suicidal because it's just "going for a jog." LOL.

I totally understand what you're saying, but from a game mechanics PoV as a GM I try and keep things black and white so its easy to make a ruling. So I stand by my view.

Getting a mutant to shoot a friend is certainly potentially suicidal. After one round though the dominate is over and the mutant might say "sorry, I couldn't help myself there is a psyker about." and then his buds don't shoot him but look for the psyker instead.

This is your show though so happy to go with whatever.
