| Nik, I need a +10 WP test now that Wiremu has hit his first Insanity milestone ("Unsettled"). On a pass, you're good to go. On a failure, you need to roll 1d100 +10/DoF for the Mental Traumas table (DH2 CRB, 288). The Voice is getting really tired of all this shit, but he isn't an idiot. Automatic suppressive fire is enough to convince her to get the fuck out of dodge. Full run toward the front of the enemy HQ. She makes it inside the building and out of sight from all PCs currently. E2 attempting to break pinning - WP 40 +38 (cover/hive mind) +0 (test) TN 78; Rolled 2/brokenhttps://orokos.com/roll/827122Rook is up. | |

| Mental Trauma: The character reacts to the slightest stress or pressure by becoming extremely agitated. When performing any task that involves a test, the character must first pass a Willpower test or suffer a –10 modifier to the test. During combat encounters, he suffers a –10 penalty on all tests. This effect lasts for 1d5 days. | |

| Per LINE: this is considered shooting into melee (-20)/TN 75/1 DoF = friendly fire. That destroys a Flamboyant. This will force a break test from the last ganger as 1/2 his formation died in the same round. +10 Command test to stop the last dude from breaking. | Cessia watches the cameras and holds her ground... For now. - IC:
It was concerning for Cessia to see the large mutant get ever closer to her position, smashing aside most of the resistance in the way and leaving the injured Rhone, alone, with two fleeing gangers as his only real assistance. Statistically it was unlikely that the large mutant would be able to get through Rhone and attack her in the time it took for her to announce more information for whoever was listening, so she held her ground and assumed that the worst case scenario would be Rhone becoming paste and her running away.
She shouted as loudly as she could in her monotone voice, hoping that specifically the Ashigaru could hear her as she relayed more information from her vantage point with the cameras. "Statement: Ashigaru, there is one squad of mutants at the end of the alley. The large mutant is nearly to me and Designate: Rhone to the right of your location. It is tactically advisable for you to fire upon the larger mutant at this juncture."
It was after this information was passed on that Cessia finally got ready to move if she needed to, still clutching her dataslate and keeping an eye on it but also very much aware that there was a massive mutant with a hammer a few steps away.

| intimidate test Str 35 +10 test =<45 25 = 3 DoS https://orokos.com/roll/829541Dodge Ag 32 +10 test =<42 31 = 2 DoS, Hell yea https://orokos.com/roll/829545IC As bullets began to burst through the walls around them, Rook pulled back from the ledge to look at the civilians under his "command". He watched the girl take a shot to the stomach and roll back off the bed screaming in pain. It was a pity, as that was a gruesome way to go. He instantly glanced at the other civilian and glared as the man watched his friend writhe on the ground in agony. He could see the man's spirit begin to waver, until suddenly the side of the man's face was being forced into the bed by Jacjonson, the mechadendrite holding him down by the back of the neck. There is no time for cowardice. The only way you get out of this is by fighting. The man looked at the leering tech priest as bullets continued to punch through the walls around him, seeming to avoid his presence. The milky white eyes pierced through his fear of the bullets and replaced it with a fear of what would happen to him if he abandoned this man. You will stay here and continue to fire on those mutants. Do you understand! Rook solidified the point by shaking the man using Jacjonson. When the man nodded dumbly Jacjonson let him go. Correct answer, Rook said and turned to face the enemy again. | |

| Ruaidhri OOC WP 31 -20 (shot at) +30 (cover) Rolled 89 https://orokos.com/roll/8297906 DoF Back to being pinned. Going to use available half action to reload gun- Ruaidhri is able to do it as a half action. IC As the mutant bullets exploded in the air around them and with the ammunition charge in his weapon failing, it was a very easy decision for Ruaidhri to slide down a little further into cover. Hitting the release button on the lasgun, he let the metal cartridge clink down to the ground, while simultaneously pulled a fresh one from his front chest pocket and inserted it into the rifle. Turning his head to his ducking companion, he indicated his head towards the edge of the wall. Remaining in place Uallachan suddenly shouted. "Damn mutants. You better watch out or I'll throw a brick at you. And Bricks kill." | |

| IC Jules gritted her teeth together trying to keep the bucking pistol in place as she let off another burst at the mutants. She and the Ratlings had got bogged down, they needed help to break the dead lock. As more bullets came her way she ducked back down for a moment behind the piping and shouted at Kaylith "Get Numa and the others up here!" | |

| Nita - Just to clarify, you are asking for assistance from Numa, yeah? I think that's what's happening here, but my brain is fried. Going to have her start ascending next round. Also, if you haven't yet, please mark off one reload from your PC sheet.
Mutant pin test vs Jules WP 30 +6 (HM) -20 (FA) TN 16; rolled 57 & 76/BOTH PINNED
Dave, for purposes of character positions, Jules is in a much better position to simply lean over and yell for Numa to assist. Kaylith is on the other side of the roof hiding and you're potentially giving away her position with your action as it stands.
Mark, like we talked about on LINE - Stubbs misses and takes 4 damage (10/14 wounds). Mark it on your sheet, please.
Nik you're up. | |

| Action full move to crawl out from under the truck and get into it. Will climb out from under where there are no bads
IC: Wiremu heard the gunfire and screams going on around him and just wanted to stay under here. Away from that...that lady...her voice...
He shock his head. He couldnt stay under here like a coward. Where was his mana??
He closed his eyes for a moment and clutched his patu tightly and whispered to himself."Kia kaha...be strong...."
With that he crawled out the side of the truck, making sure there were no enemies around, and climbed into the truck, staying low in the foot well so as not to be seen, and looked for a way to start the thing.

| E2 was pinned via the civilians it looks like - and was fired on by Stubbs after, so no +30 for that. However, he will get his +30 from being in cover. Furthermore, due to Adamantium Faith, he must fail the WP by 4 DoF or more to actually be pinned. WP 40 +36 (cover/hive mind) +0 (test) TN 76; rolled 47. Not pinned. https://orokos.com/roll/833567Due to fatigue, Stubbs takes all the damage. After TB: 14, 14, 6 (leg, leg, body). Applying this as conservatively as possible (one at a time, including True Grit): first shot reduces Stubbs to 5 critical, second shot to 12, third shot to 15. 10+ Energy Crit Leg: In a terrifying display of power, the leg immolates and thick fire consumes the target completely. He dies in a matter of agonising seconds, his scorched corpse surrounded with smoke and flames. Options: Use fate to re-roll your dodge and attempt to beat a 21 to reduce some of that critical damage OR burn fate in order to keep the character alive. Stubbs will be out for the remainder of the fight, overlooked by the enemy as assumed to be dead. He will also suffer all the critical effects, including losing the leg. | |

| For posterity's sake, Stubbs crit damage is 5 energy, leg: The target’s leg endures horrific burn damage, fusing clothing and armour with flesh and bone. The target suffers 1 level of Fatigue and is knocked Prone. Reduce his Movement by half (rounding up) for 2d10 rounds. | |

| Alrighty, I will get an IC in for that. Action wise, do they have eyes on me since I was downed? Or am I out of LoS?
I was thinking of having Stubbs have some time to reflect on his dumbass decision to not go behind cover. But then part of me would be like, Stubbs would still try to be in the fight...but he needs to play smarter now. Not smart, cause he can't do that, just smarter than flat-out dumb.

| Sorry for the recent Lull, everyone. Hopefully it will pick up soon, but I make no promises as of yet.I have a new prep this semester, so I have been zapped by all that goes into that. Per private convo with Hydrako, I will FA fire on mutant squad 3. As the enemy is in cover behind a vehicle currently occupied by Wiremu, a catastrophic miss (4 DoF or more) will result in friendly fire on Wiremu. | Updating! Rook IC added. Poo-Beya makes it to the fight! He has brought a formation of 10 low-levelers. That makes 15 total, but five of them are moving up the ladder to accompany Numa and the roof team, and the other 10 are staying with PB. Again, I am leaving what these NPCs do up to the discretion of Dave and Domhnall. | Good god. I know we talked about it over LINE, but seeing those rolls just really makes you wonder what you did to offend the dice gods so badly.
Mark that last FP off your sheet, if you please. Rhone is now at 0/2 FPs, 1 Critical Body, Incendiary Reloads x0, Standard BP Reloads x2. Finally, per the complication from that shot, you'll need to spend next round reloading.
I am in trainings online today, but will get the rest of the round updated.

| So I think Stubbs movement is halved so even if he did normally get his full move for crawling, he would only get half.
EDIT: Stubbs will half move towards cover and out of LoS as we talked about on LINE.
IC: Stubbs' whole world be turnin' upside down. The rounds be connectin' and makin' the big man fall flat to the ground. He bit down hard, the pain in his leg summin' he ain't been feelin' fuh a long time. His head was woozy. The big m an be tryin' ta sit up, ta get back to tha action and feth the pain in his leg.
Then the shots be hittin' him in the body, pushing him back down to tha ground.
So for a tiny moment, tha big man let darkness take him.
"Stay down, you dummy," Barb's voice filled his head. "What were you doin'?"
It was sweet, serene, like honey and it filled his head makin' the big man feel light as a feathuh.
"I gots ta help tha squad, Barb," Stubbs' thought back. "Dey be needin' me, ya hear?"
He couldn't believe it, but he felt it, her hand on his cheek.
"What good you gonna do dead, huh? You always were too eager to fire a weapon," she said.
"Next time, sugar, you should get to cover first, don't you think?"
Stubbs thought fuh a moment. Was that a good plan? I mean shootin' meant more dead bodies, which meant less bodies to be doin' damage to his friends. But yeah, she be usin' some of that logic on him. Maybe it be best to be in cover first. He'd hafta remember that if he don't be dyin'.
"Yeah, you right," he thought. "Should I get up?"
"No!," the voice rang in his head, a loud boom in his ears. "You stay down til you see an openin'. That's an order, from me. Unless you ready to come see me already."
Stubbs sighed and let his head touch the ground. It be temptin', to be taken to tha otha side.
To see her again.
But no, it waddn't tha time. There was still too much left ta do. Too much left to take care of. The sounds of the battle rang out around him, but what good could he do now? The big man felt guilty, but he be knw that jus' cause he be lookin' dead, don' be meanin' dat he ain't gonna get shot at. Stubb's opened one of his eyes and looked round at what been happenin', lookin' fuh his openin'. The car be so close, and the big man knew it gon be a struggle, but he gotta get there. And try ta stop tha bleedin'. Stubbs swung round and began his slow crawl towards the relative safety of covuh. He be pushin' down hard on the worst wound, doin' his best ta staunch tha bleed, but it waddn't gonna be that easy. No more blasts be comin' his way, so the big man kept it up, inching closer to tha car.

| Stubbs fails dodge - put to 8 critical damage body: blood loss and 3 permanent toughness damage. https://orokos.com/roll/839516Andrew, you dodge the first three - fourth hits. 11 damage is soaked by cover/armor/TB. However, your cover has been effectively reduced to 0. Swiss cheese walls. Nik, you'll dodge them all as well. Since neither Domhnall nor Dave responded to my last prompt regarding Kaylith here in the OOC, she is going to remain holding her position out of sight. That means that the rest of squad 4 is assembled on the roof and ready to reinforce the last two hold outs still shooting it out with Ru and Jules - placing them in the same initiative order as the decimated 4th squad for convenience. So now the Fireteam is up Suppressor gonna suppress v Jules/Ru BS 35 +10 range -20 suppression TN 25; 59/no hits. Need -20 Pinning test from Jules/Ruhttps://orokos.com/roll/839564Pipe Bomber suppression break WP 30 +6 (Hivemind) TN 36; 51/still pinned https://orokos.com/roll/839565Rest of the squad is going to volley fire on Ru/Jules. No cover as they have the flank. Bs 35 +10 (aim) +35 (range/formation) TN 80; rolled 5/9 DoS/5 hits https://orokos.com/roll/839567For Ruaidhri, I will count it as only 8 DoS due to his size, but the chameleoline cloak -30 to hit will not come into play for the following reasons: - Ruaidhri is in front of Jules meaning that even if the cloak made him invisible (which it doesn't), it would be clear that something was blocking Jules and thus soaking up shots that were meant entirely for her. - He is within close range and the foe is not hampered by the dimness of the environment - He just spent last round ducking incoming fire and yelling at Jules to get Numa to come up all while in plain sight of the reinforcements. - Finally, I don't think in this scenario that is in the spirit of what the cloak is meant for. Ruaidhri/Jules -10 Dodge (for being flanked)Finally, IT IS ON CESSIA! | |

| Cessia is going into overwatch! Condition that she will fire under is Rhone moving out of melee with the brute and her getting a clear shot as a result. - IC:
Cessia's attention was pulled away from her dataslate by the sound of a hammer hitting a very squishy, unaugmented human. The Brute had closed the distance and Rhone had taken a hit already, the time for her camera callouts was at an end. She slid the Dataslate away and readied her Autogun to fire the moment she was given a clear shot and Rhone wasn't in danger of getting hit by the crossfire. She hadn't done anything like this with live fire before, only practice, so her movements were even more robotic and obviously bog-standard mechanicus like than usual.
"Designate:Rhone, Statement: Withdraw from melee with the mutant, I will attempt to provide covering fire."

This was addressed previouly in that Kaylith is in no position to get Numa anywhere. She is on the other side of the roof, so I chalked that response up to map confusion. She can definitely shoot at them. I will have her do that on her initiative.

Thats amazingly poor) Ruaidhri IC Brick chipped and shattered, shards flicking up in the air past the Rattlings head. The ledge provided partial cover to the stream of fire coming from directly in front of them. What it didn't prevent though was fire coming from the reinforcements who had just burst through the door. It all happened in a blink. There was a flash of light and as the familiar flemmy cough of their guns hit his ears, he felt the lancing stab as the bullets stabbed him. The shock of being hit was worse than the actual pain. He couldn't even be sure how bad it was, his body was shielding him. He would only know once bloodloss started to hollow him out. They were certainly backed into a tight corner, the mutants hitting back hard against their incursion. They needed more guns up here, Kaylith and Brick couldn't enter the battle quick enough. He stilled his arm, fighting back against the surge of adrenaline, and following the quick whispered direction of Uallachan, found the head of one of the new mutants between his sights and pulled the trigger.

Half Action - Dominate [Attack friend] https://orokos.com/roll/840669 = 15 vs 57 = 5 dos. Enemy needs to make a WP roll vs 5 dos to resist
IC She was surrounded and now exposed, her mesh cloak thankfully weathering the fire for now. She was not skilled in a fire fight so she fell back to what had kept her alive up until now. This was when she was most dangerous. It was almost a reflex action and one Jules would normally suppress but she could see her predicament so she focused her power. Gritting her teeth as she gathered strength from the warp she snarls at the enemy who were trying to kill her as she locks eyes with the closest.

Half Action - Dominate [Attack friend] https://orokos.com/roll/840669 = 15 vs 57 = 5 dos. Enemy needs to make a WP roll vs 5 dos to resist OK, finally got some motivation. Taking a look at this there are a couple of issues. 1) Dominate is a full round action, though that doesn't mess anything up here. The biggest problem is 2) it's range is 5m x Psy Rating = 10m max for Jules. The enemy squad is 18m away from Jules' current position. You can push the power (pg. 195 CRB) up to +4 PR. If you pushed to +3 you could make the range; however, you would be forced to roll 1d100+15 (5x PR pushed) on Psychic Phenomena table as you rolled "anything but doubles." Let me know what you want to do, my dude.

I see suicidal actions as shoot or stab yourself and things like jump into the lava. Shooting someone else is not a suicidal action action in my view, its an aggressive one certainly.

Well that's just it - you're not simply having them "shoot someone." Regardless of the fact that they're attempting to kill their comrades (in this case hive brothers), it is a lethal action against an overwhelmingly armed force. In this case, it isn't just about the action, it's about the consequences of that action. Would you consider pointing a weapon at a heavily armed paramilitary force not suicidal then? By the argument you've presented, running at a tank with a bomb is not suicidal because it's just "going for a jog." LOL. "Suicide by police" is essentially what you made these mutants do. I am not saying it is technically suicide, but it is an action that would, at the very least, put them in an extremely life threatening situation.

I totally understand what you're saying, but from a game mechanics PoV as a GM I try and keep things black and white so its easy to make a ruling. So I stand by my view. Getting a mutant to shoot a friend is certainly potentially suicidal. After one round though the dominate is over and the mutant might say "sorry, I couldn't help myself there is a psyker about." and then his buds don't shoot him but look for the psyker instead. This is your show though so happy to go with whatever.
