| Nope. Just like a fireball actually works underwater; DnD pays little attention to real world physics. | |

*sexy wink*
OK, Sakana will climb down next if no one else is hopping to this fight.

| It’s not just that a fireball works, the effects of the spell change to fit the environment. The fireball becomes superheated steam that explodes instead. I’m not sure how the effects would translate to electricity, but pf makes it a point to have specific spell effects work as written in any environment.
Alyra will summon monster I. Will, is there enough standing water to use dolphins?

Once in the water, he will freeze a rat if it comes in range, priority to the dire rat if it appears. Wintry touch - rat: 1d20+1 13 1d6 4

| Alyra will move out of the way of the ladder (If she's close) and Summon Monster I above a rat as her standard. Tanaya will start raking. Claw, claw, bite: 20, 21, 12 Damage: 2, 3, 1. https://orokos.com/roll/799446IC: Alyra moved into the bilge, standing at the landing and beginning to call out to Tekka when Yesmoro lept in to the waters below. She gave a slight cock of the head and briefly contemplated going through with the long summon anyway, but decided a crushing victory would be worth more to her than proving a point, and that she wasn't in a great position to be losing allies. She concentrated, pulling her eagle from the fold between the material and astral planes. With a wave of her hand, she sent Tanaya to attack. | |

| Crits with spells are a thing, as long as a to-hit roll is required.
I'll assume you cast the spell before you descended this time, but even though you can hold the charge, you can still provoke AoO when casting a touch spell.

| You'll need to roll roll again, and if that's a hit, then it's double damage - there are certain things that aren't doubled, like precision damage, but don't think any of those apply for you. | |

| When it gets back to Sakana, assuming there are still enemies, lets light them up. Lightning Arc domain spell. ZZzzaaaappp (6 remain): Lightning Arc Ranged Touch (6 remaining): 1d20 17 1d6+1 5IC: After immobilizing the first enemy, Sakana knew that electricity was quite effective on these creatures. He reared back, eyes flashing briefly with an electrical charge before unleashing a small portion of the power of the storm upon another rat. | |

24 to hit (https://orokos.com/roll/801885), 15 Damage (https://orokos.com/roll/801886)
IC: Yesmoro roars in frustration as he stands up. Stuck on a rotten pirate ship for days with not a decent whore in sight, and the first time there's some decent killing to be had he lands face down in bilge water. Infernal fire glows in his eyes as he swings his sword with all his might towards one of the filthy creatures biting at him.

Tanaya full attack. https://orokos.com/roll/802745Bite, Claw, Claw: 9, 16, 14 Damage: 1, 4, 3 IC: Alyra let the bird fight of its own accord, finding a wall to lean up against as she assessed the situation. | That's all, folks.
Good kills all around. I am liking having electric grasp AND seven charges of solid zappability on hand. I am thinking with that high dex, I am going to need something with a bit more utility: crossbow or bolas or something like that.

| Honestly, seven casts of ZAP is probably plenty for most of these fights. I don't see us taking too taxing of a combat in the lower levels, and when fights do start to get spicy, you're probably going to have enough spells to take you through just fine. That being said, picking up a backup nonmagical option is the right way to go. Bolas would be cool, free trip attempt or something similar would keep you relevant when ranged damage starts getting crazy unbalanced. | |

Attack https://orokos.com/roll/802930Claw, Claw, Bite: 6, 7, 16 Damage: 3, 4, 4 IC: Alyra watched Tanaya wrap up the rats from her vantage point with a calm regard. Tanaya continued to swoop and strike where she could, looking to pick off the final rat.

| I've just had to go into the office a couple of times this week - and my hair has gotten a bit too long, so not sleeping properly. Had a haircut today so hopefully should be able to post tomorrow after a good night's sleep.
However, though haven't done a 6 day week, work is likely to get super intense till July 31 - I have about a 6 week period, twice a year, where I get insanely busy.

| Giving night actions - though yours are set.
Also, as you don't have a lot of influence at this point of the adventure, if you just want to give general plans for 'between set encounters', we can probably speed through this part. But everyone would need to give me a standard plan - even if that standard plan is just 'work diligently'.

| Can we just assume that everyone will "work diligently" unless stated otherwise? Otherwise, we might be losing a whole lot of time for gaming for something that should be automatic since it has been that way already. | |

| Rule update:
Will post Mon-Fri, Aus time. If no day action posted, or no standard instructions given, work diligently. For night actions, default is sleep early. May post more often if everyone posts.
Will give slightly more time for fights, though at most 2 days.

Standard Night Action: Make friends. She'll start with the highest attitude people and try to improve relations up to Helpful, then move down the list.
I'll obviously update as often as I can, but if you're ever waiting for me (or just want to update a few days at a time) the above is what I'll try to do during this time.

Put it down to the excessive stress of the situation. The one exception is if it's a climb check and you have a natural climb skill.
