OK, so here's what I want to do to jump start this game and move it along. I am tired of the crawl it has slowed to - largely because of me.


EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE... give me TEN Agility rolls. If you have Acrobatics trained, take a +20 on these rolls. If you have Athletics trained, take +10.

DoF will cancel out DoS, so post your final tally here.

Then I want TEN WP tests, +20 if your character is Tau.

Again, DoF and DoS final tally here.

Just edited the post above- I'd made a mistake with her WP. Thankfully the end result was she just about scraped a pass. Not so lucky with the AG test. 15 DoF ends up leaving her on exactly 0 wounds. Just updated the character sheet.

Yeah I mean, I think we at least try to outrun it. If it catches and we have to fight, so be it. But for now, we should see if we can make it to the orca.

We got anything with a short fuse that might distract it? We could leave a trap of some kind, although I doubt we have time to rig it.

Would it be possible for Harriet to lock the doors through to the bridge after we go through them? Or perhaps set off an alarm klaxon or something that might district/ disorientate it.
Either or I'm for running as fast as we can for the escape ship. I can't think of anything else clever that we might do to stop or delay

Shutting and locking the doors is a good idea. She can shut them easily enough. Locking them will require a -20 tech use test.

Ta'ro has 4 Photon Flash grenades. If you want to do something rudimentary like rig them to the door so they go off if it is breached, you can do that at +0 Tech Use test. That shouldn't be too difficult.

I am seeing three votes for Orca. That is a majority.

Roll the dice and roleplay the results, please.

Lol dude, I am glad you re-rolled that. Photons going off right now would have FUCKED up Kanna, Arlene, and Harriet's shit. haha well done. So, that will put your four photons on the first set of doors Harriet rigged shut. I have taken 1 FP off your PC sheet.

There is another set that leads you off the bridge and back to where the Orca docked. If you want to rig Arlenes photon's there, go ahead and roll for that now. Likewise, if Harriet wants to attempt to rig that door shut, same test as previously. Though this will take more time. It is a gamble that could pay off.

Nate - If the goal is to sprint to the Orca docking area, then I will need 4 Agility tests from everyone - take into account any fatigue you may have, if you do. The tests are +20, +10, +0, -10. DoS are not so important here, but DoF definitely will matter.

Also, because it has been so long, some of you may forgotten a couple things: You are team 4. You know the fates of teams 1 and 2. But no one has said anything about team 3. Maybe not important. What's really important for right now is this: The Orca's - particularly your Orca "Raven 4" pulled away from the ship to monitor long range communications. It is not currently docked. You will need to take into account contacting them to get them to come back.

RAW is normally 3 DoF is when things start going shit. That is just a simple fail. It is small enough that Ta'ro probably doesn't even know he failed, but the set up simply won't work when it comes time. In other words, you forgot to turn the oven to the right temperature; you didn't replace the sugar with dog shit.

As an aside, we are waiting far too long between posts to get anything done here. I would really rather not NPC anyone at this time. Can we get some more frequent posts in please? At the very least, OOC stuff so that I can keep the IC moving. I would appreciate it.

Been waiting for whoever is assisting to roll that test and then whoever is making the main test to make it.

So, if Kanna is making the main test, then yes that’s what we are waiting on. However, Ta’ro tweaked the comms at the beginning of the mission, so there was the possibility that he was doing the main test.

Figuring that out is what we’ve been waiting on.

It's 35 meters from the junction to where you entered this ship. Until Six meters from that point is zero gravity. So, you have normal gravity from where you are to 29m from where you currently are; the final 6 meters to the viewport/exit hatch are 0.

Test difficulty is still -30 from where you currently stand to send out a communication. Within those 6 meters, it becomes -15. Interference and warp shit is still really bad, just not as bad.

There can be no more assists. This is up to one radio-operator to attempt to make the call. I need that one person to give me as many tests as it takes to get a success. Each test is roughly 6 seconds (1 combat round).

Unless I am mistaken, you don't need to make a 0 gravity test unless you are trying to do something physical. You all have inbuilt comms in your armor, so anyone can make the test. I just need to know who.

Who's doing it? Maybe do some of that inter-team OOC communicating via LINE I hear so much about nowadays.

And didnt we get some kind of special 0-g training in with the Tau naval forces before the mission?

As a general update, my game updates have been coming slower due to a more-heavy workload than expected this summer, and prepping for classes next semester (which is all new to me and thus taking time). Because of that, I have been updating games based on priority with Bastards getting all the priority and everything else falling behind that.

This was/is going to be a very tough fight but I have some reservations about getting it going anytime soon. We have Murcurie out for a month and I have no intentions of NPCing Arlene in a fight like this, especially as I am already NPCing Theo's PC as well as the other NPCs already in the game.

With that being said, this game has taken a lot of push and push and push on both the players and myself and with the rate of updates all around, I don't currently see myself carrying it forward at this point. Perhaps in the future, but right now it just feels like the love isn't quite there.

So, we can wait for Nate to get back and give this big bad a go and then revisit this conversation, or we can retire it now.
