IC: Radomil stops in his tracks. He sniffs the air, then drops his lasgun. His face contorts into an expression of pure rage, like his companions have never seen before. He turns around, drawing his sword. Short and brutal, this relic from his primitive homeworld saved his life in more than one trench fight. He slams shoulder first into the Commissariat officer, attempting to plunge the blade into his gut.

Aksel pushes the shop door open and steps inside, moving to get out of line of sight of the street.

IC: The tech priest jumped at the sound of Tessera's amplified voice echoing through the street. Peering out from under his hood at the entrance to the hab-block, he anticipated the situation spiraling quickly. He pushed the door to the shop open and disappeared inside.

Thanks for getting the update up Saturncomesaround! We'll have the moves going in Initiative order, so there's a chance that it might be difficult for you to complete that move (such as if someone gets into combat with you, but we can deal with that as it comes.)

First up is Anni-Frid. Startled by your Vox call, she's only going to be able to make a half action which will be to raise her gun and shoot at you.
She rolls a 91 and misses!

Gabriel is going to spend his turn running 18m up the alley straight towards Tessera.

Tessera attempts suppressive fire on the Red Beards with her laspistol. Semi-auto fire, since that's all it's capable of.

IC: It would have seemed that Tessera was going to run, but then she spun around abruptly, in a heel-face turn befitting her mutable demeanour, the better to reveal the gun she held in her hand. Not shooting to kill, but rather to bewilder, she fired off a couple of shot over the Red Beards' heads.

All four Red Beards, failed their Willpower tests and so will spend the next turn pinned.
Benny is first up, seeming to croutch, raising his heavy chain axe high and the bullets pass over his head.

Next up is Lt Kirov who will return the attack meted out to him by Radomil. He is going to hit back at him with his chainsword. He hits. Radomil will need to pass a dodge/parry or will take 12 damage (before toughness and armour)

Adelaide is up.

OOC: Help out the homie. BS 30 +60 (PB/single/red dot/aim) -20 (firing into melee) <70; rolled 70 LOL hit.
Damage: 15 (head), pen 1, Concussive (2). He needs to take -20 toughness or be stunned 1 round/DoF
- Additionally, if the attack damage surpasses target's Strength Bonus (definitely does here unless he is an ogryn), he is knocked prone.

IC: Adelaide had no idea what just transpired. She moved into action expecting danger from the alley ahead, only to see Radomil charge the commissar. The commissar must have made a move she missed. Before she knew it, he had his chainsword out and was attempting to turn Radomil into many smaller pieces.

She had his flank. She didn't hesitate. She shouldered the heavy crossbow and put a bolt into his head without an ounce of hesitation.

He had it comin'. Every one of them had it comin'. Job's all that matter, an' team gets the job done. Team's all that matter.

Right- sorry again about the wait guys but we are back in business again now.

First up is Officer Kirov responding to the crossbow bolt to the face. Somehow he survives the hit, but is both stunned and prone on the ground.

Next is Bjorn, who will follow Benny in holding his ax in front of his face

Askel's move has been made.

Finally is Agnetha, who will fire her shotgun at Tessera but miss badly.

So, who else is still here? Abstract and Kobras both responded to the LINE thread, but that was it. Saturn/Ferret still around?

IC: Radomil's vision begins to be clear as the rage begins to fade. He stands over the fallen commissar, sword in hand. He couldn't remember exactly who started the fight, but the guard had swung a chainsword at him. Plus they couldn't have him telling anyone about Radomil's momentary lapse in sanity. "Better to finish the job" , he thinks, lifting his sword for a coup de grace. Wouldn't be the first commissar Radomil's fragged.

Ah good to hear! And good on the computer too. Its on Tessera now.

Tessera, seeing how Anni-Frid is making an attempt on her life, naturally resorts to self-defense by aiming her laspistol at her and firing a single shot. 'Really, you should calm down with that cannon of yours, someone might get hurt!'

Anni-Frid does attempt to dodge, but fails this attempt as well as her attempt to escape the stunning. Her armour and toughness completely soak the damage though.

Benny also fails his attempt to escape stunning and remains in place with his axe in front of him.

Kirov is dead, so it is over to Adelaide.

OOC: 1/2 retrieve the bolt in his head - no evidence that way - 1/2 move (3m) toward the commotion, staying in cover if possible.

IC: Adelaide said nothing initially. She did not know why the Commissar had lunged at her comrade, but he had. Now he was dead. She took the bolt out of the side of his head with a sick, crunching shlop. She responded matter of factly before moving forward toward the commotion, "Don' move mean dyin'. Le's go."

Bjorn is up. He manages to pass his pinning test and then will charge into combat with Tessera. He swings his axe at her... and misses. Tessera, is now in Combat with Bjorn.

Waiting to see if Askel makes a move- as of the moment is in the shop.

Agnetha fails her pinning test and with her comrade now in combat will hold back from shooting.

I'll wait till this evening to see if we hear back from Askel, but if not we'll move on to Round three

IC: Radomil wheels around, laspistol in hand scanning for targets. He hears the automatic weapon fire coming from the alley down the street, and the woman engaged in combat with an axe wielding man. He's got no idea who the lady is, but he's been in enough urban warzones to know a gang hitman when he sees one. He fires a shot at the bearded man with his las pistol. "Where the hell did I leave my lasgun" he thinks to himself.

Right- first up for Radomil, as I put in the chat, there is a -20 penalty to fire into combat. When means the shot instead hits Tessera. Felicitious if you could roll a Dodge please or take the damage.

Anni-Frid, now there are no longer any shots flying by will attempt to escape the pining..... And fails. Radomil's shot must have spooked her.

Gabriel is going remain where he is and continue looking back at Radomil and Adelaide.

"What's the plan guys?" he repeats.

As far as I always read it- you can use pistols in close combat with no penalty, but that you don't get the Point Blank bonus. I'd have it as +10 single shot and +10 short range

Tessera wondered if her laspistol was not, in actual fact, a novelty cigarette lighter. No, surely not. A cigarette lighter would have dealt more damage.

Bossman, since we are using the Wrath and Glory reload rules, I think adding the "Recharge" special quality to this Castigator Crossbow is an appropriate nerf to the weapon. This means it can only fire every other round, rather than every round like it currently can.

That is very unlucky rolling Felicitious, sadly again it does no damage.

That's not a bad idea. I like the idea of one heavy shot, one wait to reload. Almost like using a hot shot charge pack.

We can try it out for a bit anyways and see how it plays.

Yeah, I figure the way it currently is set up might be a bit OP.

OOC: Full run toward the fight (18m/-20 BS vs her) into the nearest cover available.

IC: Adelaide didn't have a plan, but in all of her experience, action was better than inaction. She charged off at full speed toward the scuffle down yonder. She did her best to end her sprint in cover.

Unfortunately in terms of cover, she's still crossing the street but I've angled her so that she's just in front of Gabriel, and putting the Tessera and ganger between them and the car at the head of the street.

Next up is Bjorn. He's going to all out attack (+30) on Tessera with his axe... And he misses again. Bonus though- he'll get no reaction to whatever Tessera does next.

Agnetha passes her morale and is free from pinning. She's going to move out of the alley and take up a position on the other side of Tessera but not in combat.

Round 3 is over. Pinning had worked but the gangers are starting to outnumber Tessera now.

Just going to see if Prince of Havoc can join us, but in the meantime, if you get a tentative action prepared Kobras.

Hey hey all- apologies for the delay- I went back to Ireland for two weeks and I ended up posting a lot less than I thought I would. Anyways as some of you saw, Kobras is going to be busy for a few weeks so I'll be rping his character.

His sole action this turn will be to run forward up the alley to stand just behind Gabriel and Adelaide.

Anni-Frid despite the lack of any shots this turn, fails her Willpower yet again and stays were she is. Raising her gun she points this towards the conflict between Tessera and her comrade.
"Finish her soon Bjorn or I'll put you both down."

Gabriel looks over at Adelaide and Radomil who have both so far ignored his questions.
"Looks like I'm going to have take charge if you two are lost for words. No idea who these people might be, but the gangers seem to be outnumbering the other woman."
Gabriel will also make a full action run towards the conflict.

Which leaves things on Tessera!

Tessera could see Gabriel out of the corner of her eye. She wasn't going to back down in the face of the gangers just yet. Her resolve needed to be unbreakable... and she also didn't want to look like a coward right in front of those acolytes that she would soon be taking under her wing.

Yeah, those damage rolls have been rough. Don't las pistols also have variable settings? Higher damage for higher chances of jamming/reload complications? I thought they did.

Ah yeah that does seem a bit weak for Las Weapons.
Rulebook has:
The standard las weapon has a
variable setting option, allowing it to fire higher-powered bursts. It
may be set to overcharge mode, dealing +1 damage, but using two
shots worth of ammunition per shot fired. Further, the weapon
may be set to overload mode, dealing +2 damage and gaining +2
penetration. In this case, it uses four shots of ammunition per shot
fired, loses Reliable, and gains Unreliable

I'm trying to think how to best incorporate this with the new ammo rules. Definitely up for suggestions on this. Perhaps expand the chance of jams. Over charge becomes 90+ and Overload 80+?

In any case Bjorn takes 2 damage to the left arm!

Now that they outnumber her two to one, they get a +10 WS and he also gets +20 for his charge
He rolls 38, so will be hitting her in the body.

Tessera will need to either dodge or parry or take 13 damage pen 2.

I believe we came up with a solution in Bobarctor's DH2 game: 90+ for overcharge and 85+ for overload is what I believe we came up with. I'd need to double check.

Same action as last round:

IC: Adelaide continued forward. She didn't quite understand what was going on. Was this the same psychotic episode that had overtaken the commissariat officer? ...and Radomil? She was glad Radomil had regained his senses. Perhaps the Commissariat man would have too eventually, but there was no time to dwell on that. He had made his decision and had died for it.

That was the way of things.

She decided to keep running. When she got a bit closer, she'd have a better look. If someone else needed to die, so be it.

Agnetha is going to finish off this turn. Seeing the crowd currently rushing up the alley, she's going to fire a semi-auto burst from her combat shotgun at the three figures. The attack will miss but I'm going to need -10 Pinning tests for Radomil, Gabriel and Adelaide.

(So, is that 8 damage ignoring soak, no penetration? If so, with TB 3 and AP 2 to the body Tessera would only take 3 damage, right? Just checking. Either way, she's still standing.)
