Dramatis Personae Empty
PostSubject: Dramatis Personae   Dramatis Personae EmptyMon Jul 27, 2020 8:05 pm

Mr. Gaunt - A presumed contact of the Circle of the Flame who gave you the job to steal the Emerald Well (strange emerald with some supernatural connection to spirits) from his associate in Brightstone (Score 2). Very quiet, mysterious and slightly creepy guy.

Hutton - Leader of the Grinders. Tall, strong, volatile and cocky. One eye is mutated to be bigger than the other.

Sercy - Second in command with the grinders. A bit hunched over, uses a cane, shrewd.

Lord Scurlock - Mysterious noble somehow involved in the occult or supernatural. Has a large manor in Six Towers. Has contacts with Stev and (possibly) Marius.

Inspector Vale - An Inspector that the crew has some history with - perhaps she called them in to interrogate them. She is not close on their tail - yet - but she has had her eye on the Phantoms for some time and suspects they may be up to no good.....

Twice-Dead Tom - A man turned-demonic-something-or-another who has allegedly been killed twice. The party owes him a visit for some "business" - seems like he expects you to do some work for him "or else"

Margarette Smythe - Boss of the Fog Hounds. Vindictive, pragmatic, and prizes loyalty greatly.

The Phantoms' Contacts

- Favored: Nyelle, a spirit trafficker. Nyelle runs a stall in Nightmarket. She operates out of the cramped backstore. As part of her agreement with one of her ghosts, Mordis, she sometimes lets him possess her.
She is at odds with The Dimmer Sisters, who dislike having competition.
Dialogue color: 6699ff

- Elynn, a dock worker.

- Rolan, a drug dealer.

- Sera Macen, an arms dealer. Does business out of his home in Nightmarket. The exterior of the private townhouse was standard fare for the neighborhood but the inside was a riotous affair, with high contrasting colors and innumerable works of art in wildly different styles and media, many of them that he made himself. Other than his outrageous choice of décor, he was known for two things: he seldom left his home and didn't snub smaller outfits "you never know who will end up making it". He was a heavy set man who dressed very simply and exuded a kind of warmth that was carefully curated.

- Decker, an anarchist.

- Esme, a tavern owner. (confident, private) The Broken Anchor at the Docks. The Broken Anchor is a tavern in the Docks built in a network of natural caves that had existed in the island from which the district had been constructed. It occupies a series of small to medium sized caverns with only a handful of tables each, lit by a multitude of small and dim electroplasmic lights hanging from the wires crisscrossing the ceiling. Metal flooring had been installed over the natural rock, which made it hard to sneak around. As such, it was prized by Doskvol's criminal element as a place to discuss business. Little was known about the middle aged proprietor, but rumors abound. A large glass pot filled with money rests on the tavern's the counter. For a few pieces of silver, anyone can try to take a guess at her past and, if correct, Esme has said that they could take the pot. So far, people had only ever put money in.

Rake's Strange Friends

^ Nyryx, a possessor ghost. (cheeky, shrewd, unfulfilled) Nyryx was a regular at Traven's smoke shop. Marius met her there and they quickly fell in together. When she died of an overdose, Marius hid her body from the Spirit Wardens so her spirit wouldn't be destroyed. They've been off and on since her death, as her frequent change of hosts makes Marius somewhat uncomfortable.
Dialogue color: 66ccff

V Flint, a spirit trafficker. (loyal, candid, naive, vindictive) Flint was one of the crew's first marks. Though he holds the whole crew in disdain, he saw Marius as a kindred spirit and hasn't gotten over that particular betrayal.
Dialogue color: ff6666

= Scurlock, a vampire. (enigmatic, cold, arcane, old-fashioned)

= Setarra, a demon of the Void Sea and Storms. (enigmatic, quiet, volatile, arcane)

= Quellyn, a witch. (caring, insightful, over-committed) She is a short, round, jovial, middle-aged woman with long graying hair tied up in a bun. She looks like everyone's favorite grandma. She operates Quellyn's Poultices and Herbs, an apothecary shop in the Docks that really plays up the witch aesthetic. Drying herbs hang from the ceiling, a big pot of bubbling liquid permanently sits on the fire. She has a black, one-eyed cat that is the avatar of disdain.

Echo's Sly friends

^ Bazso Baz, a gang leader (charming, open, ruthless, whiskey connoisseur) Bazso was a one night stand that became a habit Cadence just could not shake. They met at the Veil in Night Market, connecting over a shared appreciation of fine liquors. When they spoke about being a member of the Lampblacks, Echo assumed that they, like a number of suitors before them, were trying to impress her by fabricating an exciting secret life.  Time proved her to be very wrong.
Dialogue hex 999900

v Harker, a jail bird (brave, vain, unforgiving) Cadence got close to Harker as a favour to Bazso, who needed him to be kept occupied during a specific period of time for "reasons best left unsaid" (their words, not Cadence’s). Harker eventually put two and two together, and is mad at having been made a fool of by a bored dilettante.  "Me and Bazso, we're good. That was just business.  But you... stay out of my way princess."

^ Darmot
(Gentle, worryward, loyal)
A bluecoat, an old friend from skovland that also became a refugee.
Dialogue hex 3399ff

V Roslyn Kellis
(vindictive, angry, manipulative)
A noble, the ghost of an old lady that was attached to an object she had smuggled once when trying to go solo, before forming the backwater phantoms. The ghost had long since found a body to possess and now works with Nyrix.
