| You should all know what to do here. For all OOC chatter, whether it's game-related - like discussing your characters, or just idle chatter, goes here. | |

| WOOOOOO! Character's done (I think)
How does this start? I tried to leave my backstory open to tie it in, and left some important details a little open to tie in with other characters and whatnot.
Which leads to my second point, if any of the PC's want to tie some stuff together, feel free to give my backstory a read or hmu on LINE and we can work out the details.
Third point, Will are you on line? We're all out here having a blast without you. It hurts me.

My character could potentially have met yours. He is a disgraced member of a long line of Andoran naval officers.

| I am not. My phone doesn't really have the space for many apps, and the time difference doesn't really make it worthwhile.
Secondly - average gold, yes.
Also, you can take two traits each, or a third as long as that one is a campaign trait for Skull and Shackles, as found on d20pfsrd.com.
Also, whilst I am suspending my usual bias against evil characters, be very careful about them. This is not a game where constantly trying to undermine your fellow PCs will work.

| Don't worry about me. I would never undermine my party, why undermine the tools that keep you alive?
Also, if I am reading this correctly, I can have a campaign trait plus two regular traits correct?

| Friendly reminder to link your PCs in your profile signature so that game system noobs like myself can easily access them and see what I am doing wrong. Also for the GM or whatever. | |

| Initially I had planned to make my character a ranged druid, but after reading up on the Locathah, they do like being in the forefront. More to the point, form an RP standpoint, I am basing the PC itself as a mix of both Aztec and Japanese when it comes to aesthetics. My fish will be colorful, y'all. Having said that, Willvr, would you be OK with me being proficient in the use of an ocean themed macuahuitl? I am still leaning toward a Dex over Str build, but this would be a go-to weapon for when shit gets real. I am thinking a driftwood body with coral & shark tooth blades, rather than the standard wood and obsidian. EDIT: Is Coral/clamshell/Chitin an acceptable material for my druid's armor/shields to be made out of? I know they are forbidden from wearing metal, but these seems very... fitting.

| In my view, taking the statistics of a certain weapon/armor/etc and reflavorig for your character is always fine, so yes, doing that is fine.
Coral and clamshell would be fine, and fitting with a druid. As long as you don't do 'full plate but made of clamshell so it's okay for me to wear" route.
And yes, three traits as long as one is a Skull and Shackles campaign trait. If you're not sure, I am willing to help you choose one that is right for you.

There's always the "Main" city of the setting, Absolom. A real melting pot too, so there are a lot of different cultures and species.

| Also, please let me know when the mechanics of your character are ready for me to check on. I will check as they are posted, but until you think the mechanics are done, won't be making any comments.
Will help out on background details after that part is done.

| Will, although it isn't specifically listed for my class, would it be possible to take the Lightning Domain for my druid? It fits the build better. I am thinking of eventually prestige classing into a Storm Kindler. | |

| Ok WillVR, before we get started I think should validate something about my future build with you. I was aiming to use the following feat: Starry GraceThis would be to allow me to have dex to damage with my starknife, in both melee and thrown (allowing me to play mixed mellee/range). I bold the "and thrown" because this is the point where there is some doubt. The wording of the feat simply says: When wielding a starknife, you can add your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to that weapon’s damageWhen I researched the feat, I found no official errata, but the community seemed split about whether it applies to both (slightly more folks in favor of my interpretation). What is your ruling on the subject? | |

| Actually, I think it's just melee damage. You don't wield missile weapons - that to me suggests it's only when you're holding it. Slashing Grace, which in all effects is the same except for different weapons, specifically has errata that states it doesn't work for thrown weapons. | |

| I believe my character is ready to check out.
I took the Druid's Kit, but I am not taking the animal feed it comes with - no need. The kit is 44 lbs and 14 GP, but looking at animal feed by itself, 5 days worth alone is 50 lbs. So, what would be the Druid Kit cost and weight without animal feed?

| Sorry guys, for those of you who don't know, I'm based in Australia. You might know that in Australia at the moment, are high temperatures which are directly leading to bushfires. Whilst I'm not in the danger zone for bushfires, the heat is making it hard to concentrate. Will check out sheets tomorrow. | |

| Apologies, when I say "pacing" I am more speaking to how you plan on allocating XP (standard or expedited) as player responses are a total unknown in any PbP (as we all know) lol *cries*
But that sounds fair. Excited to get this thing rolling.

| I'll grant levels on milestone events rather than gradual accrual of XP.
As an update as to where we're at with characters, I have made notes on all of them at this point - all except for Queqek are close enough to start as is, but Queqek has me a little lost.
Also, you will start off as pressganged, so don't worry -too- much in regards to equipment. Though you might get it back later

| Barring Katarina who I will address later tonight, you can either ask me to roll them up, or you can make climb checks till you reach 60 feet - or fall, and let me know how long it takes.
This is effectively a race, DC 10 checks to climb.
Also, for those who achieved a DC 10 of perception, notes a taste of nutmeg on your tongue, and can make a craft alchemy or knowledge nature check.

| So... if it is a DC 10 and I rolled a 6 on my first go about it, what does that mean for me? Also, what is to stop me from simply taking 10 - the time sensitive (race) factor? Knowledge Nature: 1d20+7 22 | |

| As that's within 4 of the DC, just means you don't move. You can certainly take 10 and be certain of success, but yes, the race aspect. You don't know what happens to the person who wins - or the person who loses.
You realise that with that taste on your tongue, that is the unmistakeable evidence of oil of Taggitt, a knock-out poison. It was probably mixed in with your food, masked by the spiciness.
