Im going to lay a few things down so they are not a surprise that feels unfair.

2 of these guys are in active overwatch. You should be able to tell from the IC who that is.

The psyker is maintaining at least 2 or 3 powers, one of which being the gate. He is a recurring enemy from my IRL game I ran some 8-10 years ago. He's....tough. Hes top notch enemy, be on watch.

Anyone wishing to know the unknown warband needs to pass a FL (traitor legions) test. You wont know the data until you make visual contact though.

If you take too long in game time, they will assume you turn them down and are about to attack. So you have 30 seconds to a minute before that point.

I say we use this gunfire to our advantage. Unless it blocks our infil point, we have no reason to go get involved. If it does block our entry point, then let's leave a smoking ruin of whomever it is and get inside this fucking thing.

As far as a secret entrance, nothing like this has been observed in the current timeline. Sapiens has no other precedents for another ingress. Based on the history between the eldar and the soulless, if they didnt mention one, then its likely there isn't.
Also, besed on the fact that the portal is an entrance, its likely the pyramid is either a part of a larger structure, or the base facility is somewhere you cannot get to and this is it.

Just so I make sure my rubbish explanation of my idea is clear, before we kick off and everyone knows where my head is at, I've drawn and attached a map. Those with jump packs burn out to be directly in front of the guards (marked as O's), and engage them first, drawing them away from the portal. This opens their flanks and back up to fire from the rest of the squad. They'll land in a firing line to make sure everyone is unimpeded. Hopefully I attached the picture correctly.

As he landed, the storm bolter rose to take in the end of the necron line, closest to the rest of the squad. He knew his shots would do little to nothing against that shimmering field, but if he could force the guards to take pause and weather the storm then it might give the others a better opportunity to put it down. A wall of sound and fire erupted from the double barrels and engulfed the xenos, striking his targets better than expected. No doubt the creatures would be oblivious to any hits.

Suppressive fire is a straight -20, no other mods apply. So that makes your target 23. Its still 2 dos which is 4 hits. Since suppressive fire affects an area It makes sense to split the damage between 2 enemies.

Grimnir notes the ineffective shots against the necrons, he would of course shoot with more accuracy but it was clear how tough these opponents were. Thumbing the fire selector on his stalker boltgun to load a adamantium bolt he snaps off an aimed shot with casual ease at the one without a shield. He assumed it was some kind of leader, better to bring it down first.
