Defensive Tactics roll to set up the ultimate defense should we be ambushed here: 54 vs 43 - no go without a modifier or two
Awareness to get anything anyone else may have missed (though I doubt I will be beating Carnelian lol) 91 vs 70; getting my bad rolls out of the way. Excellent.

Action: Roll Forbidden Lore (Xenos) to figure out if Bleda would know some kind of Xenos that could cause the kind of corroded damage Draco are witnessing.

So there's a ton of blind corners. Setting up short range overwatch corridors is easy enough, but picking the right one would be difficult. There's also a few main corridors you could set up long range fire lanes on, and its likely they would be more used than other corridors.
I believe the main question is do you want to explore this ship some or proceed further?
And Bleda doesn't know any xenos that could do this naturally, or would do it by other means.

I'm not particularly interested in exploring for the sake of exploring. The Hulk is huge and every vessel that composes it is likely to have something interesting, but irrelevant to the message. If we happen across something that we can't ignore, it might be worth checking out, but otherwise I think we should try to put as much ground as we can from our entry point... Eventually something is going to notice we've been here so best if we're gone.
Speculation here - anyone living on the hulk needs access to resources. Ambush spots aren't going to be in the middle of empty corridors connecting nothing to nothing. They're either going to be set to defend a resource or to catch people who are accessing a resource and returning back with the supplies (banditry). I don't think it's likely we'll stumble into trouble without any signs of occupation or activity, first. If we do, it's because we literally stumble on them from the unguarded/unexpected direction. And unless they're Space Marines, they're not going to be disciplined - if we keep quiet we'll probably hear SOMETHING before we walk up to them. Just keep alert for mechanical traps/mines.

I am with DDMW 100%. Throwing out a CODEX roll to address his query from the IC.
Int 43 +20 (skill/deed) +10 (tales of the void) <73; rolled 56/3 DoS
Subject: Re: Chapter 7.0 - Calling in the Coroner - OOC Mon Jan 30, 2023 10:57 pm
Ill need 3 (-10) tests from everyone to get across the holds. The must be tests that will let you navigate the area. Think athletics for climbing walls, jumping gaps; or pilot for using a jet pack; or something else. Use your imaginations but I need to make sure it makes sense. Gear will help if you can narratively use it. Ill need IC from everyone as well.
Awareness is 3 degrees of success before the difficulty penalty (-10) and before any bonuses for armor. Climb should be 1 degree of success after penalty (-10) and bonus from Power Armor (+20). Pilot I think Pilot is Ag - should be 2 degrees of success before penalty and any additional bonus I have.
Feel free to correct anything.

Awareness to gauge what needs to be done: - Per 40 +30 (skill/helm/Astartes vision) -10 <60; rolled 97/5 DoF (ain't seeing shit)
Athletics (Jump): - Power armor puts it to 80 -10 <70; rolled 47/4 DoS
Athletics (Climb): - Same as before <70; rolled 2/8 DoS (Novamarines Climb better than any other climbers climbing can climb)
Lucius would then like to relay his success to the team so that they can mimic what he did - hopefully easing their tests a bit (+5 maybe?). Need a command test?

Roll on Athletics (S 50) (for the record Bleda activates the Solo Mode "Feat of Strength" to get +10 to this test as I recall being Rank 3, or so I think)
And its a success! Bleda makes his way without problem using the Athletics Skill.

So I managed two out of three rolls. That's enough to get me across or do I fall? I could make some re-rolls but I'll await a comment from the GM if its necessary before doing such.

For any rolls in this D100 system, you aren't adding your mods to the 1d100. You roll 1d100 against your final tally, and if you roll under that number you gain a number of degrees of success. Over that number equates to degrees of failure.
To calculate DoS/DoF: Count the initial roll as 1 degree of success or failure and then add an additional degree for the every first ten digits. Ex: On your Scurtiny roll you needed to beat 79. You rolled 94. That is 3 Degrees of Failure (DoF). 94 = 1 DoF --> 84 2 DoF --> 79 3 DoF.

Going to go with two athletics tests and a toughness one in this order at -10; athletics (jump down), toughness (wade through chemicals), athletics (move/push/tear up/navigate wreckage) Str 90 -10, T 52 -10 = Athletics <80, Toughness <42 Str 86 = 2 DoF T 26 = 3 DoS Str 17 = 9 DoS https://orokos.com/roll/967539

Will Ashmon be able to heal Grimnir as well in the moment or would it cost too much time for him to do and someone else has to do it?

Can we just assume that he does? I know Syl is out of town for the moment, so we have some wiggle room, but we are going on a week now without a second medicae roll.

Orders: - Don't engage Eldar unless they engage first. Potential ally, as last time we were on this Hulk.
Rolls: - Awareness to ascertain more clues about traps/what happened to the ship's former occupants/anything important: 34 vs 70 (5 DoS) https://orokos.com/roll/969543

Grimnir has a Tau stealth field generator (Masking Screen) which he'll activate. The field distorts light and sound... +30 Stealth (not just concealment like a camo cloak). It does however give me -10 to perception rolls but thats not much of an issue for Grimnir (famous last words).

Squad can't bypass - get into ambush positions and cut the head off the snake.
Insane - I think Khol should ready an action rather than engaging in the event a big bad we don't have eyes on decides to pop his head out when we start shooting.

Stealth to move forward and find a better spot. If possible a bit out of the way from where my brothers are making an entrance, a good firing position. https://orokos.com/roll/970314 = 36 vs 119 = 9 dos
Just a heads up - Initiative is 1d10 plus your agility bonus (the first digit of the score itself). So if your agility score was 36, you would roll 1d10+3.

Cassiel had been waiting for this moment since selecting the Infernus Bolter before departing. Depressing the firing rune for the bolter and it spit death toward the target he selected. Each bolt followed the arc of the next as they exploded one after another in his target.

Remember that all bolt weapons have "Tearing." So roll twice and take the highest of the two, unless that's what is happening and I am reading the rolls totally wrong.

I'll shot with my plasma rifle, single-shot with half-action aim on whatever is still unaware and isnt dead. Orks where the only xenos mentioned for the place, so my ability applies. My plasma rifle is also accurate (forge master ability)
Sapiens was glad to finally test his plasma-phase fusil. He aimed at the designated target, while his cogitator units adjusted the electromagnetic field within the accelerator, focusing the plasma into a fine, needle-like shape, before projecting it outward. There was surprisingly little sound, but the shot was bright, bright as a newborn sun, as it stabbed toward the particular weakness Sapiens knew of between the ork second and third vertebra.
Attack vs a fleeing orc WS 55 +30 (unaware enemy) +20 (Signum/"ganging up") +10 Hunter of Aliens, +10 Hatred of Orcs, Toe to Toe: Master enemy +10, No quarter given: counter attack +3 WS
