I'm thinking of using Khols Demolitions skill to use; mines, melta bombs, etc. We can run into a number of situations that a little bit of explosives can help. Thinking of grabbing a Stalker/Modified Bolter and Assault Shotgun combo. Does a stalker benefit from the same Weapon Specialization (Bolter) or would there need to be a separate W.S.? Skill only requires class and type, so technically... Khol can benefit from the use of this weapon.

Weapon specialization (Bolter) should apply to all bolters

Khol went over by 4. In my previous post, I noted it on the bottom. If the 4 points are needed elsewhere, I don't mind dropping something, back to being having 1 leftover.

Looks like you spent all of your req. Must've added wrong somewhere. What weapon type are you req the ammo for? Depends for magizne size. Also, Kraken rounds are 15, not 5(Living Errata p3).

With the OW/DH2.0 rules, Ive never issued a penalty for moving and firing with a heavy weapon. The rules have invalidated the part.
All power armour, except mark 1, come with mag boots. Please state weapon type that the ammo is for, its for magazine size and nothing being implied. Also you sure you don't want to get any extra grenades and/or repair cement? Chainsword?

Is it worth taking a fire selector on the h bolter so you can easily switch between your different ammo?
fire selector is only for pistols and basic weapons

Just as an update for everyone: We are currently sitting at 66 req in the squad pool according to the Draco Squad Sheet.
Granted, I don't believe Dread has posted yet.
That means if one more person wanted Terminator armor, for example, they could take it. However, I believe Heath unoficially confirmed that there will be area(s)/checkpoint(s) where we can spend unused requisition during the mission.
If this is the case, holding onto it wouldn't be a bad idea once we get a better idea of what we are up against.
Oath of Loyalty OR Oath of the Astartes. I think both would fit our new team makeup, but I am unsure what the bonus for Loyalty means when it says it provides a +1 to Cohesion Challenges. It doesn't read as though it is a flat +1 to our overall cohesion score, so I am not sure what that looks like in-game.
As an aside, the +2 flat cohesion bonus from Astartes is pretty dope too.

Thanks on both accounts. I don't know if Heath has ever had us do a Cohesion Challenge and legit forgot it was ever even a fuckin thing haha. Knowing that, I still think Loyalty is a better call from in-game and RP perspective.

Loyalty. If I've understood it correctly it will provide a long-term bonus as opposed to a single extra Cohesion dump at the start for the "Oath of the Astartes".

Sorry I'm late the party.
First off, I think that Oath of the Astartes is easier to get everyone to AGREE to - the Oath of Loyalty is going to feel a bit like putting a leash on Assura - they might strain against it. But I don't know that we've done a lot of Cohesion Tests, so the +2 Cohesion might actually be better.
Secondly, fuck, 5000 XP and 4 renown. That's SOMETHING. I fucking suck at doing the XP expenditure stuff. Something about the way it adds up and gets spent, but we also track the totals given breaks my brain. Can someone spare some time to help me update? I'm basically fine with just taking whatever updates someone recommends - especially someone that knows the mechanics pretty well.
Thirdly, I know there was some unspent req; would I get another 117? That's also something I'm up to discussing. I'm thinking going with the Heavy Bolter as my primary weapon. The Missile Launcher is nice because it does a good job against Hard Targets and Soft Targets, but we've got a Terminator Marine and people keep shoving melta-bombs where they're not supposed to shine, so I'm thinking something that can take down hordes might be better. Help a brother out?
Fourth, I'm glad we got some more characters that are willing to be DIFFICULT. Lucius is too damn friendly, and he's been rubbing my rough spots off. I'm willing to let someone else take the WAY FUN ROLE of 'resident asshole', but I'm not willing to see it go unfilled. Love the various levels of conflict that people are bringing!

First off, I think that Oath of the Astartes is easier to get everyone to AGREE to - the Oath of Loyalty is going to feel a bit like putting a leash on Assura - they might strain against it. But I don't know that we've done a lot of Cohesion Tests, so the +2 Cohesion might actually be better.
Secondly, fuck, 5000 XP and 4 renown. That's SOMETHING. I fucking suck at doing the XP expenditure stuff. I'm basically fine with just taking whatever updates someone recommends - especially someone that knows the mechanics pretty well.
Thirdly, I know there was some unspent req; would I get another 117? That's also something I'm up to discussing. I'm thinking going with the Heavy Bolter as my primary weapon. The Missile Launcher is nice because it does a good job against Hard Targets and Soft Targets, but we've got a Terminator Marine and people keep shoving melta-bombs where they're not supposed to shine, so I'm thinking something that can take down hordes might be better. Help a brother out?
Fourth, I'm glad we got some more characters that are willing to be DIFFICULT. Lucius is too damn friendly, and he's been rubbing my rough spots off. I'm willing to let someone else take the WAY FUN ROLE of 'resident asshole', but I'm not willing to see it go unfilled. Love the various levels of conflict that people are bringing!
And, I'm spent. Good to be back.
1. Assura is operating on their own as a second team on the Mortis. Our Oath will only be for Draco. So, I think Loyalty is much more of a vibe for us.
2. I will take a look at it later. I wouldn't worry at all about purchasing shit at certain ranks. At this point you know you have enough XP to make rank 5, so when you purchase what is a bit less important because you're going to get ther before the next mission starts anyways.
3. Definitely going to look at gear, but with your req and renown, we might be able to swing a relic weapon or something mighty as fuck just like Aaron is saying. Another player should get the same amount of req, but that's a Heath question. Req is determined on how difficult the mission is, not the number of players per se. With another addition, I am sure Heath will adjust accordingly.
