Sgt Madeline Ulster (ret)
Nickname/Call sign: Mule

In many ways, the Ulsters were made for Nihil Ultra - stubborn, phlegmatic, and stubborn loyal Skull's thick as the skin, the lot of us.

They are a sprawling clan known for living closer to the surface than most would find tolerable. According to the family's oral history, the first Ulsters on Nihil Ultra were insular and belligerent survivalists who had come in hopes of being left alone. Over time members of the family have moved closer to the geothermal vents and have built lives within or closely tied to enclaves, but Madeline's àrd-mhàthair, like her predecessors, lives in the original homestead. It is where Madeline grew up, and it is where she helped to raise her own children when between tours of duty.  Once retired, she was happy to go toe-to-toe with other Starcatchers when money was tight or she got bored, but then those fucking degenerates showed up like they fucking owned the place,  and I'm not fucking having it.
