| 'Tis the season to be jolly! Tra lalalala la lalala!!!!!!!! Scratch that. There will be no donning of gaudy festive apparel. 'Tis actually the season to celebrate with your fellow gaming buds here on the forums and acquire SWEET GAMING LOOT. What better way to do this than by taking part in our Christmas gift exchange!! By virtue of our fine and varied membership, this will be an international gift exchange. That's right! You get to fling gaming-related goodies across the globe!! I'll do a quick head-count first to see who is up for this, and then we'll take it from there. I encourage members to see this as an opportunity to partake in the spreading of seasonal goodwill and awesome funness! (fun-ness?? yeah!!). ARE YOU GAME FOR A VISIT BY CTHANTA (or Jeff)? Disclaimer: Apologies to RPGGEEK for the blatant stealing of Cthanta Claus. What are ya crying about? Geeez. He's got tentacles enough to go around, right? Sheesh...

| Oh, why not.
Does the gift need to be specifically RPG game related or can we branch out a bit?

| In theory. Postage costs are horrendous from Aus though.
Also may depend on the answer to Solodice's question above.

Also may depend on the answer to Solodice's question above. I've never brought via the US amazon site before but my UK user ID works on it and it looks like I can make a purchase. Anyone ever used amazon or other sites to buy stuff for friends/family in other countries of residence? Might be different rules depending on where you live.

| The problem is, unless there's a 'buy as a gift' option I'm not seeing, that means people would be sent details of how much I spent, which isn't ideal for a secret santa thing. I could also just do something PDF-related or the like. Put my down for a tentative-yes. Depending on restrictions on gifts, as referenced above. | |

| Thanks to everyone who has expressed their interest so far! I think we probably need a minimum number to make this viable. What do people think? In terns of the gift, again what would people prefer? I think it should remain somewhat game-related; this doesn't mean it has to be an rpg. There are many other gaming-related goodies. Branching out is fine I'd say. This isn't about a big spend either, especially with international postage costs. It's about having some fun and surprising someone! I think the only thing I would like people to include as a definite is a card or letter to your intended target. | |

| I don't think it needs to stick to game-related; anything nerd-gaming culture, up to and including gag gifts, I am 100% OK with. I don't have a hard answer on the logistics of sending either.
However, it looks like you can send as a gift through amazon without issue.

| Thanks to everyone for their interest so far. I am a bit concerned that we may not have enough people on board to make this viable. What does everyone think? Do we need a minimum number? How about a cut-off time for interest?

The minimum is 3 people as then the secret of the gift giver is still concealed. So if we have 3 or more we're good. Looks like we have 5 to 6 participants. So more then enough.

| Great! Thanks Solodice.
So we currently we have:
-Pendraig -Iron and Metal -Solodice -Carnelian -MmmTasteIt -Willvr (potentially)
If we can rustle up a few more people, that would be fab! Should we give it another week or so?

| I'm in!
Comments: I know reddit has their secret santa cutoff December 2nd. Seems like as good a day as any IMO
I regularly switch between UK and US amazon, works like a charm.
I'm not against the idea of either rpg-related gifts or other things. We could each do a post with a few basics about what our interests are and any restrictions?

| Additionally, I spoke with DeadDMWalking and Nitafrong privately, and they both expressed interest. | |

| Yep. Just tell me what to do.
I'm guessing we all have to PM our contact information and receive it for our Secret Pal.
Jeff gets a plaster mold of my cock (as he does every year) but I'll do something EXTRA for my secret Santa partner.
