I hope it's not actually trapped! We're moving forward with a tech use check to figure out what is up with it.
Tech use on torso: https://orokos.com/roll/955921 Much better, 25 under 76. 7+1 = 8 Dos, 9 if I can plug into it with my MiU. Which I absolutely will if I can.
So, you find no demo-charge, but inspecting the torso you see its some kind of highly advanced medicae servitor. It must have been a valuable one too, as its only remaining active component is a stasis-field keeping the servitor's brain frozen in time, thanks to a fusion battery that could last for millenia.
Forbidden Lore (Adeptus Mechanicus): https://orokos.com/roll/956212 76 over 66 = 1 DoF or maybe two I've given up on understanding how you people count.

Now that doesn't sound very Ad-Mechy to me. Alas, CONGRATULATIONS, you did it!

Ok, so this isnt too rare-medicae servitors are found a bit everywhere. This one does appear to be unusually high-quality, and you're fairly sure it constitutes archeotech by your standards.
As to whether you can remove it, thats not clear. Though considering the previous owners didnt remove such an obviously precious peace of tech, it must be either difficult or long to remove. (will need more tech-use rolls that will likely take a few hours, and there is more to explore in this space)
Inspecting the space, you find a number of empty fridges, probably to cary meds, as well as tool racks. Inspecting the wall-drawers though, you manage to get one open but it gets stuck almost immediatly. Through the gap, you see what resembles an enormous body-bag jamming the drawer.

Assuming we haven't already been through the Astropathic Choir chambers, I would like to check that out as well. Anything for some sweet, sweet movement.

Ok, so the weapons arent salvageable per se, but they are an unusual form of meltagun. Seem to be able to project the beam like a shotgun. There may be something to learn from them if you keep them.
We kept them, and I would like to attempt to learn from them.

Ok, so you manage to deconstruct the melta-shotgun. You know a meltagun emits powerfull infrared radiation, which is why its typically focused & short-range; focused to maximise intensity, short-range because of air's capacity to dissipate it. The more the spread, the more you lose intensity. However, the weapon contained an unusual axicon (a conical lens), which seems to mildly amplify the any infrared light you put it. This seems to be the core of the weapon.
(OOC: You've got 6/24 DoS to reconstruct 1 new weapon of this type. Mass production will take a lot more, but you may be able to rebuild one).

Logic to figure out where the coordinates to the market lead: https://orokos.com/roll/959819 26 under 86 (including +20 from the archeo-cogitator's data-loom program) = 7+1=8 DoS

Considering the massive offset, you estimate its likely they use another coordinate system-likely based on something OTHER than holy terra. Abberant, I know, but they may not even know where terra is. There is likely something within 26000 light years of terra that serves as a less imperium-centric coordinate center for the galaxy.
The archeo-cogitator indicates the most likely location is the Galactic center of rotation. It even spit out a standards document for a "galactic coordinate system" . It was apparently written by the ISO (Interplanetary Standards Organisation)
Ok, so you remember rumors about Melnibone from when you where in the fleet on the spinward side of the sector.
"It is said (though never confirmed) that there is another passage to the arcadian expanse, spinward of the sector. Rumor has it that it is blocked by a system called "Melnibone", a supposedly cursed system where chaos was supreme. Its inhabitants themselves where insular-they had never participated in a black crusade, never tried to invade anyone-because of their duty to protect the "holy" system. Its system-fleet was larger than some sector fleets; their guardians where numberless; and there, just past the halo zone, the emperor's power holds no sway. Its a somewhat mythic place."

Wendigo,
For down time, admitted there is time permitting, I would like to do two things:
1) Train with the Astropathic Choir - perhaps even upgrade the physical space itself if items are available. If not, the importance is cementing a stronger bond with the other two astropaths. In terms of practical gameplay, I would like to establish a bonus to Psyniscience checks. I tend to RP with them quite a bit when we reach out into new systems, and want to build upon that.
2) Train more with the cyber-bird. Maybe even test the new powers Alexium has acquired in a side thread so that I can get a feel of how they are supposed to work in actual play.

1) No problem! I'll ask for a psyniescence check for each of the 5 days. We sum up the total number of DoS/DoF, and if you reach 10 you get a +5 for the rest of this arc.
2) I'd love to do that, but until you find a new persona, I dont have many ideas. We could do a side-thread of you training with the other PCs.

Sorry for the delay. Holiday got in the way of gaming.
Psyniscience checks: Psyniscience 58 x5: 5#1d1003/7 DoS99/5 DoF57/2 DoS (9 total)52 (10 DoS reached!)49
+5 Psyniscience for the remainder of the arc.
As for the persona, for sure. But I meant a side thread of Alexium training as you said. Don't need to bring in the other PCs if they're not feeling it. I just want to see how these powers work IC, as I don't fully grasp them. To the training cages?
Finally, I can't see the Ruins on the map at all. Can you enlarge them?

Ok, so for downtime:
-Alexium is training --For your training with the choir, do you want to train you reception (a psyniescence roll, will help you receive signals) or your emission (straight wp, will help others detect your signals) -Lethia is mapmaking (Could I have a navigation Warp roll from you heath)
I've also realised and making the same mistakes as before. A few away teams of redshirts are gonna do at least a summary scan of the place for more data. I'll post it up in IC today.
Ok, so you percieve, in a tower to the north of your landing, a pair of large eyes is faintly visible, resembling the eyes of the flying creature viewed previously, seemingly hiding (perhaps in ambush?)
Thanks for that. I was indisposed. Lethia will 1/2 action draw weapon and 1/2 action aim.
Lethia was not as combat ready as the others. But she was by no means not ready. Her laspistol was drawn from its holster and she drew a bead on the xenos beast as the others were already in the process of shooting.
She knew nothing about these beasts, so she warns the laborors, "Keep your eyes open from more. They may hunt in packs."
