General OOC goes here - talk about the world, talk about your characters. Each chapter will have a separate OOC that will cover combat etc.

The Hook: Ok so the first adventure has you traveling from Aldbay to a town near the eastern foothills of the Ironhold mountains. You are travelling with a dwarf smith called Dalvin Ironarm and his two sons Biggisun and Jarren.
Dalvin was looking for guards due to travellers going missing on the roads. Easiest option is you signed up for the coin, you could be interested in the disappearances or needing to leave the city.

So, I love how Druids shun metal armor and only roll with like barkskin, leather armor, etc. Natural things like that. It's awesome. Which is why I cannot understand why a scimitar is a part of their starting gear. Granted, it is scimitar -OR- any simple melee weapon, but that just seems super odd.
Is there any way I can change that to a Macuahuitl? It is essentially a worked bat made of dense, hardwood, completely covered on the outside by razor-sharp obsidian blades. Apparently this thing could decapitate a horse which is just insane.
Unless there are already rules for it, I am thinking of just keeping the same exact profile of the scimitar (maybe lose light) but thematically changing it to this. It fits the concept so much better.

Beautiful, will make the change now. Secondly, the Explorer's backpack that I get from Druid - how is weight calculated for that? If it is everything individually that's inside of it, it puts me at 17 lbs in the red for encumbrance. Unless there's a static weight for it that I am not finding.

Survival test to get some dinner for the group. I believe I get an advantage on this because I am proficient in the skill. And if these are woodlands, I should be able to gather double supplies/water.

Proficents just means you add your proficiency bonus, and the terrian you favour is woodland your currently on plains but 25 is still a good DC (natural 20 - natural 1 only have effects during combat)
Also, since he is staying up until his watch, another perception for before that if necessary: 6 (natural 1) Apparently before his watch he is busy doing other Druidy stuff. http://orokos.com/roll/631103
