On the IC. Do we know why we're on the transport craft and about to visit the Archmagos Unath? I have a good feel OOC what we're going to be doing (family is screwed and we're the last gasp chance at salvaging it with the ancient ship our patriarch has at his disposal), but I'm not sure what my character knows IC at this stage.

The sector is Calisota, and you are in sub-sector Skaros (at the heart of the sector). I will add that detail with the date on my initial post.

Ok, so for the last post a few rolls are possible.

Common (Imperium) -10 or Forbidden (Astartes) +10 for information on the passerby

Forbidden(archeotech) to identify random curiosities in the office

How can I NOT have CL Imperium?! lol

It's another degree. So, if you rolled a 41 vs 62, the initial success is the first degree: 41 (1 DoS) --> 51 (2 DoS) --> 61 (3 DoS) --> 62 (4 DoS)

Actually, with unnatural int x2 you get +1, so 2 DoS!

You spot two bizarre items on the shelves:

-A "blacklight projector", a strange piece of archeotech that can seemingly create zones of absolute darkness
-A Nooso-sphere: a rare device that can allow multiple individuals to create a single, shared mind by interfacing their MIU.

Just to be a pain in the ass, it's technically 2 DoF because we count the initial roll as either a success/failure, then go by tens from there.

Nah. It doesn't have to be 10 exactly. Any amount within 10 is a degree. Once it goes past 10 it is another degree.

Well, I'll assume you meant Forbidden Lore (adeptus mechanicus). While your own databases dont have this specific symbol, the cog respects the usual golden proportions of the machina opus. The central element similarly respects a number of natural mathematical ratios favored by the mechanicus. You can estimate a high likelyhood (98%) that a tech-priest designed the symbol.

Niether of which I have. Got it.

Just because we are jumping into the unknown, I think the best bet is the "arboretum" for the survivability aspects.

Combat stuff is cool too, but I think the above is the safest bet.

Munitorums are spoopy, and can cause a lot of damage if they're hit. And Ignatio puts a large value on survivability, so his vote is

I've put together some prospective ideas for what the extra ship point and space that an XL Arboretum should give us. Obviously these are just suggestions and are pending review, selection, and approval by Wendigo.

Arboretum Extra Effect:

Complete self-sufficiency: The arboretum has everything required to sustain the shipboard population almost indefinitely. Triple the time at void rather than doubling it. (With our extended supply vaults, depending on whether those are additive or multiplicative this would give us either two and a half years, or three years in the void without resupply.) Also, due to the availability of fresh food, permanently increase morale by one.

A walk in the park: The Arboretum is large enough to allow limited access to a large portion of the crew. Permanently increase morale by 3

Luxury Cruise: The arboretum is restricted to the higher level crew and to luxury passengers. Whenever gaining achievement points from Luxury Passenger Quarters, earn an additional 50. However, permanently decrease morale by 1.

Seeding life across the stars: The arboretum is equipped with seed vaults and maintenance equipment that can easily double as terraforming equipment. Agricultural colonies started with the assistance of this vessel will start with a Productivity+1, and other colonies will start with Complacency+1

My vote is for the space-borne garden. Food is good last I checked. And since we might be out of the light of the astronomicon....

I suspect that the intent is for us all to act as somewhat equal partners, but Ignatio would have no reason to expect that. I'm kind of inviting the NPC to clarify the chain of command, or lack thereof.
