Starfinder

Has anyone heard of or played this yet?

I definitely wouldn't mind trying that out. Sci-fi fantasy without the Grimdark? That sounds like a nice change of pace.

I've heard of it. Basically Pathfinder with sci-fi trappings.

I've never been a fan of Pathfinder's system (which is D&D 3.5). So Starfinder isn't something I'd ever be interested in running or playing.

I never had an issue with it. I wouldn't mind trying it out though. I am assuming that none of us (aside from Solo and I) have any experience with it then?

I know this is old as fuck, but just noticing this. I would be interested to try it...


Also, on a somewhat related note, I am a huge fan of DND 5e and how streamlined it is. I've long thought of running a similar sort of "space-fantasy" game with 5e thats not grim-dark and more light-hearted. Spelljammer being a huge inspiration, as with old sword and sorcery novels. Some day....

Just remembered, the free RPG adventure for starfinder has been sitting on my shelf since June. Again, some day..............

I'll also be doing a bit of necromancy, but I'm currently running my RL game in this system, should anyone have any questions. I'm using most of the rules save the spaceship stuff (the game is more planes-based than space-based)
