Inquisitor Yannick Amibari "The Twitcher" The Inquisitor who recruited you
There is an old adage in the Imperium, "Whom the Emperor blesses, dies young; best go first", though only the foolish would profess this in any more of a whisper. Even fewer would dare mouth the words, that if 'The Twitcher' is still alive, she must have been cursed by the Heavenly Father. The walls have ears.

While her exact age is unknown, Inquisitor Yannick is oldest Inquisitor currently within the sector, and generations have been lived and died in fear that she would hear of their heresy. Her face shows evidence of this age, deep wrinkles like scars of ancient tectonic activity, framed with ever thinning white curls. But within those wrinkles, her sky blue eyes are still sharp as they are almost devoid of colour. Her armour is drab and bland and in public she often uses a thick branch of an unknown gnarled material, to slowly move her hunched body forward. One might believe there is little to be intimidated about. One might believe that but one would be wise to remember that old are only there because they have outlived so many before them.

While few would be wise to take on any Inquisitor single handed,  Yannick's strength though has never been in her limbs, but rather in the information she collects. With a vast network of contacts ranging from the lowest scum to the highest noble, there are many across the sector who reflexively glance over their shoulder before uttering their heresy in an even quieter tone, in the vain hope that 'The Twitcher' will not focus her stare on them. For if she does, Yannick will act swiftly and brutally to purify.

Data Slate Briefing Materials

The Sassan Nictor System
Grouped around an Orange dwarf star the system consists of one major planet- Sassan Nictor, and four minor tributary worlds which supply it with the primary resources it requires. The final orbital structure in the system, the moon St Barthomleu orbits in close proximity to Sassan Nictor.

The Capital World- Sassan Nictor
Imperial Planet of 3 billion souls (Imperial Tithe census 22456.C)
Government type: Elected Governor (10 year cycle)
Governor: Master Artisan Gedred J.P Lanwin

History
First settled by man prior to the Age of Strife, date unknown. Brought back into the Imperium during the Great Crusade, chiefly due to the efforts of the III Space Marine Legion. Investigation D221.2 showed evidence of xenos settlement prior to human colonisation; [Redacted- Inquisition]

Geography
Sassan Nictor has two major settlements, both located on the poles. It rotates regularly on its axis, providing a day cycle of 22 hours. Each settlement is built on a separate continent each taking up roughly just over a third of the planet. The continents are split by an ocean, 'the Unblinking eye'  which runs along the equator.

Capitol city: Agat Tha
Location: Northern Pole.
Population: 1 billion
Agat Tha is the administrative hub of the system, and contains Headquarters for all the major Administratum buildings, the Governor’s residence, the Courts of Justice and the Adeptus Arbites. These buildings make up the centre of the city, an area known as Planet Fall. It is noticeably open and spacious, especially compared to the rest of the city which stretches out beyond them, over hundreds of miles. Planet Fall also contains the Space port for the planet. The port is extremely busy, receiving resources from the tributary worlds, and transporting out armaments, as well as receiving Pilgrims and visitors. The final important structure within Agat Tha is the Mag Rail station. Two lines run from here along the Prime Meridian in both directions, forming a looping circle. One line transports raw resource to Lileath, and the other receives the armaments, prior to transport to the space port.

Transport in the city takes place via use of the internal rail lines. Some transport makes use of the roads, but their use is highly restricted.
Within the limits of Planet Fall, there is a high degree of order and peace with a large presence of the Urbanue Praetorianae, the Enforcers. The further the city stretches, the lower their numbers drop and the activities of local gangs increase. The principal gangs within the city are The Red Beards, The Golden Rule and 002.

Second city: Lileath
Location: Southern Pole
Population: 2 Billion
Lileath is the centre for the Adeptus Mechanicus and contains a vast array of factories producing the specialized armaments for which Sassan Nictor is well known for.
It is also the headquarters for the Planetary Defence forces and the mustering centre for 1915 Imperial Guard Regiment, informally referred to as ‘The Fancies’.

Two thirds of the city are given over to direct Adeptus Mechanicus control, who operate their factories and the lives of their indentured workers with strict discipline. High walls block off access to the other part of the city. This final third is further split in two. The first part, ‘High Mountain’ towers above the rest of the city atop the partially flattened top of a pyramid and contains technical marvels unseen across the rest of the system. It is here that deals are bargained and struck for the bounty of the great factories below them, and where the top officers for the PDF and the Mechanicus reside. ‘Low Mountain’ is at ground level and squashed against one of the pyramids sides by the high walls of the Adeptus Mechanicus zone. In response to its limited space, its buildings, stretch high up and are packed with a multitude of bars, brothels, skin shops, fighting pits. Many a disappointed merchant has turned to the thriving black market here after being disappointed by ‘High Mountain’, though not all return. It is a favourite of off duty soldiers, but even they have to be careful not to fall afoul of the numerous cartels who control the settlement.

Investigation D221.2 found…. [Redacted- Inquisition]

The Cannoughtus and the Unblinking Eye
The hinterlands, taking up the land between each city and split by ‘The Unblinking Eye’ sea, is called The Cannoughtus. It contains no major settlements. Reports indicate that it is inhabited by a number of nomadic gangs surviving on the detritus from each major city and who engage in vicious internecine warfare. The land on the North continent is rocky and mountainous, with only a few straggled trees surviving its poor soil. In contrast, the land on the southern continent is most flat, and made up of a mixture of bush and desert.
The Unblinking Eye at its widest is thousands of miles wide, but at two points, along the Meridian, it narrows until it only a mile wide. These gaps are bridged by the Mag Rail line, which are maintained by a cadre of Tech priests and servitors, to ensure that the two cities remained connected.

Orbiting Moon: St Barthomelua
Population: 50 Million
St Barthomelua houses the headquarters of the Magisterium. It is built around the site where Imperial armies first landed before beginning the reconquest of the main planet. Led by ‘The Phoenican’ they defeated the tribes in short order and brought the truth of the Emperors word. The Space Marine Legion also built the Naval Dock yard which still houses the Systems Naval forces. The moon was initially titled ‘Moon Dock SN4’. The Navy are tasked with protecting transport routes across the whole system and despite their size, they are spread thin. Recent reports tell of increased Eldar activity which the Navy is struggling to contain.

In the years shortly proceeding reconquest the activities of a pious individual Barthomelua were recognised and following his martyrdom he was awarded Sainthood. His central church, on the moon, became a noted Shrine attracting Pilgrims from across the whole Sector. Despite the massive growth in the Magisterium the System’s Navy refused to move and it became a source of much conflict. This led to the construction of the Meadus Gate, separating the moon settlement in two. Each half is constructed in deference to the massive structures to which they pledge their allegiance, namely the massive Shrine complex and the Naval Dockyards.

Pilgrims wishing to visit the shrine, must first land at the Space Port in Agat Tha before taking a separate shuttle to the moon
The symbol of St Barthomelua is a six pointed star made of woven straw and is commonly found across the system. [Redacted- possible Heresy]

Orbiting Worlds
Population: 2 Billion
Four minor planets, defined as tributary worlds. Two of these are Mining worlds, supplying critical resources to the factories on Lileath. One is an Agri world growing the basic food materials which are processed in Agat Tha into food tubes capable of sustaining the whole system. The final world is defined as a Pleasure world, and contains the estates of the six major noble families as well as the wild fauna which feed them and their supporters. The four planets are referred to as ‘The Colonies’ by inhabitants of the system.

Governor election cycle
It is popularly believed that the system of government on Sassan Nictor dates prior to its reconquest, though information on this time is limited. Investigations into this have…. [Redacted- Inquisition]
The Governor is decided by an election that takes place every ten years, except of course in the case of accident, in which case a replacement is voted for immediately.
Voting in the election is restricted to a single representative of the major factions in the system, namely;
The Planetary Defence Forces- (Major General Christian Emmanuel Baileal)
The Admiralty- (Fleet Admiral Dahlia Girton Argarwal)
The Magisterium- (Canoness ‘Teresa’ of the Argent Shroud née Margaret Cavendish Baileal)
The Adeptus Mechanicus- (Master Adept Ramvoldus Hansen/ohn.6F)
The Administratum- (Prefect Ljuba Altomünster Argarwal)
The Colonies- (Representative Yokoyama Noin)
Planetary Commissariat for Internal Affairs- (Bokamoso Biao)

Each of these representatives can put themselves forward to be elected Governor, though with three exceptions. The first two of these are for The Magisterium and The Colonies, who are both blocked through ancient dictate. The third and final exception is for the Faction whose representative will be stepping down from the role of Governor. In this election year, this will be The Adeptus Mechanicus.
Though these three representatives will be exempted from putting themselves forward, they are still able to cast their vote and choose the next Governor.

****** Update on Lileath's Weapons Production*******

Haywire Rifle
This is a highly prizes and very rare weapon, unique to the Sassan Nictor system. It is capable of disrupting and even disabling the machine spirits and processes of its targets at range. The production of this weapon is highly controversial within Lileath, with some tech priests alleging that the weapon is heretical due to its affects on machine spirits. Currently only one factory produces the weapon, and with difficulty, resulting in intense demand.

Lileathian Fire
Alchemical work in the factories of Lileath have resulted in advances in the work of promethium containment and production. They have managed to increase the force of the flames within the same canister size, as well as its ability to melt armour. They produce both grenades and handheld flame weapons.
As a result of their specialisation, the 1915 regiment is often sent to urban and forest war zones.

Lileathian Auto-Las
This is an advancement on a basic weapon. It increases the volume of fire from the weapon without reducing its force or range.

Environmentally specific modification
A large element of the work within the factories of Lileath goes into modifying vehicles for speciality war zones. This includes lightweight versions with expandable tracks, designed to fight in loose sandy deserts where normal tanks would simply get stuck. They also produce advanced air filtration devices which allow tanks to survive underwater well beyond the normal limits of air reserves. A final popular advancement has been in their range of so called stealth technology which can heat mask vehicles and dissipate their smoke expression, allowing them to stay active and hidden for longer.

-Outside Tessera who had been following the team from the Administratum noticed a redbeard child keeping an eye on the building. Chasing after him, she came against four adult Redbeards who attacked.
-The acolytes had just exited as this fight broke out. Some Rage overcame Radomil and the Commissariat officer and the subsequent fight ended in his death.
