This is the crew area, anywhere you can imagine in this kind of area you can go to. Boiler rooms and small power relay stations included. Remember this area is a rather large complex of rooms and bulkheads, almost like a very structured maze.

Let's see if we can get some insight from memory on likely places to start the hunt. Hoping to base this on knowledge of which areas Genestealers would typically congregate in on top of likely areas for the them to bypass security measures.

Using the WG ammo rules would make things easier, except in the case of special ammo, which complicates things. You have a solution for that?
Either way, this is a quickie here. I dont expect you to come close to running low on ammo.

Your test gives you the idea that the cafeterium would be a good place to start. Any inflicted wounds by the chapters serfs would force the genestealers to find sustinece to heal faster.

Guilliman know nothing about Genestealers.

If we're starting off in the cafeterium then we'll start together and split up if needed.

Is Lucius coming as you're AFK for a bit?

My solution for special ammo -for Deathwatch specifically- would be to allow it to be switched at will since most bolsters have ammo selectors.

But if you “jam” when you’re using it, you effectively have fired your last shot and lose it for the mission.
Ultimately, we have 3 reloads and whichever type of ammo we are currently using in a battle we can lose on a “jam” roll.

Alternatively, Another idea would be that since specialty ammo costs more relatively - using a lot of requisition - then you can have separate reloads for specialty ammo.

The cafeterium sounds like an idea.

I think we should go into squad mode and Lucius can call this formation:

Effects: Novamarines can use their extensive knowledge of foes to predict weak spots in their armour or venerable places on their hides. This information comes in handy when facing foes for the first time with little or no actual experience in combat against them and only instinct and training to guide the way. The Battle-Brother and members of his squad within Support Range of him increase the bonus for Ganging Up by +10 and decrease the penalty for Called Shots by –10. In addition, Critical Damage inflicted by the Battle-Brother when making a Called Shot is increased by +2 after all other factors. If the Battle-Brother makes a Called Shot while Ganging Up on a foe he will receive both the bonus to his Weapon Skill and a reduction in the Called Shot penalty.
Improvement: At Rank 4 the Battle-Brother suffers no penalty when making Called Shots. At Rank 7 the Battle-Brother
increases the bonus Critical Damage from a called shot to +3



TL;DR: Free called shots, +2 critical damage, +10 to ganging up attacks.

+20, but the cover will slow you down should you wish to jump out at him in the first go. Which I suspect is only Hydrako.

Yea Hydrako will look to close. But an only as a defence rather than attack. He'll let the others light the beasties up and mop up anything that charges them

Im not going to kill you or force you to burn FP on a for-fun side thing like this, but you are removed from the combat and need to heal with the rest of the time.

Albrecht moved in behind Bleda so saw how quickly the genestealer took him apart. Was the librarian trying to hard, Albrecht was far from impressed. Still he was a fellow Astartes, a brother and needed saving. Albrecht would relish this.

The Templar pushes in and imposes himself as best he could between the witch and the xeno, his axe cuts in at the genestealers side.

And here I was thinking of a mocking response about Albrecht giving our position away, and then the Templar goes in to save my ass. What a day.

IC: Seeing the Genestealer up in the duct moving out of Bleda's field of fire there was little left to do, to harm the elusive creature, Bleda moves to engage the Genestealer by the door before it to can make its escape. But exiting the door Bleda find himself the engaged target and falls over by the Genestealer's flurry of attacks.
