| Yeah Throd was on full wounds so 4/12 it is.
IC Throd was all about a solid defence with his shield and armour and less about foot work, which while was there was more economical than those more fleet of foot. His shield and hammer worked in concert to pummel down the thug that opposed him, there was no satisfaction in the kill. The looter had stuff Throd and this unlikely band needed and the only transaction given was blood. A fair trade.

| Alright let's see if I can finish the looter captain off. Attack roll: 8, would assume that is a miss. https://orokos.com/roll/731263IC: Igto frowned a bit at the lack of death before him. He was confused because usually when he hit this hard the thing before him died a bloody mess. He shrugs his shoulders and comes down hard again with his maul, eager to end this and hopefully still be standing at the end of it. | |

| Haha. I love the idea of Lokee seeing something and going "oooooh!" when he attacks.
Wasnt the rock you threw the last round your last rock? Or did you have another?
On Throd. | |

| Attack the leader https://orokos.com/roll/732169 = 14 Attack, 12 Damage The insult was minor and Throd was slow to anger. By the time he grew angry the man he fought would be dead. Throds gaze turns to the ring leader "I do not think it is my day to die." he replies. The Mul pumps out his hammer at his opponent a few times, more as a distraction, trying to unbalance the man before bring his hammer swinging around from below trying to take out a knee, or if he was lucky he'd crush his groin area. | |

| OOC: Going to get in melee with the leader. Taking a swing at him with both of my shortswords (whoop, whoop for having two of them). First Shortsword (with advantage): Attack, Damage: 2d20k1+4 14 1d6+4 9Second Shortsword (bonus action fulfilled do to the shortsword being a light melee weapon): Attack, Damage: 1d20+4 17 1d6 5Sneak Attack damage (applied to only one successful attack): Damage: 1d6 2So which ever one hit will get that extra sneak attack damage. If both hit it would only apply to one of them. IC: He watched as his dagger did ineffective damage. It invoked an uncharacteristic snarl from the thief bard. It was time to enter the fray once again as Apollon unsheathes his bone and obsidian blades in tandem. His target was that mouthy ringleader. He lets Throd grab his attention before he makes a short run to his exposed flank and lashed out with his two shortswords. | |

| Will try to end this looter captain. Attack: 12 https://orokos.com/roll/733416I forgot advantage again so here is my second roll. Attack: 26, critical hit. https://orokos.com/roll/733417Damage: 26 https://orokos.com/roll/733418IC: Igto was frustrated at himself. How could this puny little man be besting him in melee combat? He was a half-giant and this tiny little human was making him look a fool. He grits his teeth and readies for his next swing of the giant weapon. He could clearly make out where his next hit would land. It was like slow-motion. So long as he placed the swing just right, it would be enough to smash into their little leader. He waited for the exact moment. And then swung with all his might. | |

| Going to call it there. Combat is over.
It doesnt look like I game you XP for the second combat so.....
Your total should be 165 for both encounters. This puts everyone but Lokee at just short of lvl 2.
Everyone just set XP at 300 and hit lvl 2.

| I'll take the studded leather, the leaders and #3's dagger, the leaders shortsword, and all of the leaders cp. I don't think we're going super into detail with encumbrance but I think Apollon is pretty loaded down right now (3 swords, 4 daggers, explorer's pack, thieves tools, studded leather, and 105 cp). One of his flaws is being greedy after all... | |

So if you want you can find a hovel and take a long rest now. Some of you need the HP.

| Thats a good Idea.
if i recall correctly, a long rest requires 8 hrs, 6 of which must be sleep, 2 can be light activity.
How will you spend that time? Anyone taking watch or are you going to use the beggars as an early warning system?

| We can always rest for 10 or 12 hours. How long is nighttime?
Either way Throd can help out at the start or end of the shifts.
How many hits do we recover for a nights sleep?

The West Gate has a mercantile community right at it... much closer and less of a walk. That's if you, the GM, agree that's still there from the 4e Dark Sun book (pg 168 right under the Western District heading). If not... the elven market is fine. Apollon speaks elven and dealing with the elves you are bound to find more interesting stuff. Just got to make sure you don't get robbed or fleeced in a deal there

| Yeah it's not listed on the map just mentioned under a random header.
My vote is for the West Gate. Gets us where we need to go quicker (the desert) and we don't have to spend any more time in the city than needed (going to the Elven Market and then back to the West Gate).

| This merchant will have the typical things you are looking for that are not weapons, armor and poisons. Pg 63 in the Dark sun rulebook has a full list of consumables. I had to look up a tun, its some weird ass measurement that is equal to 250 gallons. A full barrel basically.
A waterskin holds a gallon, which is what the CRB says you need each day to avoid problems.

| Are we doing encumbrance rules? I'd not be wanting to take a silly amount of water but certainly as much as possible without slowing us down.
Do we have any idea how long it will take us to get out of the desert? We're headed to Outpost 19 in the Mekillot Mountains I think?

| Absolute yes on Encumbrance.
And I need to look at how long it would take to get there, assuming 8 hrs travel per day.

| ok, assuming a straight path, there's 25 miles of scrubland (like where I live.) and 35 miles of what appears to be a silt flat, which require a sand skiff to travel over. Basically, the sand is so fine its like powder, in game terms treat it as as "water" feature that requires special travel considerations. Per CRB, 8 hrs of travel time is about 24 miles without any difficult terrain. So you would make it to the ivory plain in a day of travel.
Another option is to use the trade routes going east, hit the crossroad at bremil path and then head south towards the outpost. Theres more trade caravans headed that way, so possibility of more people, but increased chance of highwaymen. Instead of a silt plain, youll have to cross rocky foothills at the base of the Mekillot mountains, but again, trade routes and established paths. Its a longer trip though.

Per CRB, 8 hrs of travel time is about 24 miles without any difficult terrain. So you would make it to the ivory plain in a day of travel. So the Great Ivory Plain is a salt flat and not a silt flat. You don't need a sand skiff to cross it but at the same time the Great Ivory Plain is hotter then most places, the salt sucks water out of everything, and nothing grows there and there's a bunch of nasty creatures that habitat it. In the Ivory Triangle box set book it talks about the Great Ivory Plain is great detail. So for our merchant does he have any Kanks? The producer Kanks are handy to have around to carry stuff but they also make honey which can act as a food source. Also don't want Igto to be to burdened with carrying our supplies. We have 183 CP and can probably get more if we trade in some weapons and armor we don't need. If we can get a producer Kank it's 50 CP and it can carry 400 pounds. So for a party of 4 we're looking at a gallon per (a little more for Igto). We need about 2 to 3 days worth so 8 to 12 gallons total. Igto and Apollon have waterskins thanks to their explorers packs so we only need 6 to 10 more. The extra waterskins will cost 1 to 2 CP. Weight wise that's 64 to 96 pounds of water total. Next is food. Between Apollon and Igto's explorer packs they have 20 days worth of food. So that should be covered. If we get those essentials out of the way we can grab some luxuries or save up the money.

There is the Silt Sea which you do need a skiff to get across or you'll sink and suffocate under it. However, it's all the way down south.
