| Name: Bazin Kaplan Status: KIA, 818.M41 Demeanor: Twitchy Last Known Location: Port Wander Cause of Death: Separated from his squad, Bazin was alone with Newt searching for a way back to his team when they were set upon by a squad of heavily armed mutants. Bazin was shot to pieces and left for dead. When he awoke, Newt was gone and, on his last legs, he went after her. He infiltrated their headquarters, but almost immediately came across two and engaged them in single combat. He was mortally wounded, but not before he had the last laugh; the enemy pierced the pressurized gas can he had pilfered earlier, setting the immediate area ablaze. Personality More personable than his mentor, Bazin has shone a new side of himself since Toreth's death. Now aggressive and unhinged, hes still more likeable than Toreth.
Background Its hard to talk about Bazin without talking about Toreth, his longtime mentor. He clung to him like sticky on glue. While with him he was quiet and reserved, many times the butt of jokes by his peers but he didn't care; as long as Toreth was alive he was invincible. Now that Toreth is gone something deep in the young mans psyche has snapped. He uses excessive foul language and sometimes talks to himself. He hates the Severan Dominate with a passion bordering on obsession. Hailing from Armageddon Steel Legion, he is uses to small areas and smog. His crime was his friends, his entire regiment abandoned the field during their first fight. Guilty by association he has been condemned to the penal legions, he wasn't even aware that they had gone AWOL. He thought retreat WAS the order.....Either way his innocence seems to have died with Toreth.
Nelton is a replacement from 7th squad from the overstaffed 5th squad. She has a history with another member Bazin, having some liasons and an ongoing relationship until Bazin met Toreth and took off to follow him. They both hailed from an Armageddon PDF that was imprisoned for "Dereliction of Duty" which none of the regiment even knew about. Somehow through the prisons her and Bazin have always managed to be in the same regiment/cell black/ect. She is just as young as Bazin and her attitude towards him is concerned, especially since Bazin has been through the recent deaths of Toreth, Barb and Lysander. She has a keen eye and is able to see truth behind the words. Not one to tend to stand out, his hair is generally cut short to help keep it that way.
Personality Seeing and doing the things he has done, has undoubtedly left his mark. Generally quiet, with a certain air of intensity, he is not one to make a fuss about anything short of his "experiments". He will normally go about any duties assigned to him,as any good solider will, all be it in a more reserved manner, and will accomplish the task to the best of his abilities. He is under no illusions that his physical abilities are more than lacking, but he knows his skills and intellect, more than make up for these short comings.
Background Very little is known of his past. They know he was once a doctor. This is easily seen in his skills with needle or scalpel. They know he was not much a fighter. His shooting and fighting skills attest to this. They know he was given the choice of the guard or death, much like the rest of them. Personality Quite and Aloof, Toreth speaks little of his past, present or future. He spends all his free time reading, praying, or repenting whatever sins he believes he has committed. In battle he request all "suicide" missions and seems to have the luck (or lack of) to survive.
Background Toreth has seen battle without reprieve way too long. He avoids discussing where he is from but it seems this is not the first regiment he has served in. His grey eyes have "the stare" and when he blanks out nothing short of gunfire will wake him from his reverie. Name: Private Lidiah Brennan Status: KIA, 817.M41 Demeanor: Pious Cause of Death: Pvt. Brennan died from wounds received on the battlefield during the final push toward the Ordinatus device. She sustained multiple las and solid projectile wounds before ultimately being set ablaze by an inferno round from a shotgun. While attempting to put out the flames, private Brennan moved herself as far away from her comrades as possible, fearing her flame thrower tank could explode. Personality Wholly devoted to the Emperor, and with a napoleon complex to boot, due to her small size, she can be as fiery as her hair, and is eager to resort to physical violence, when ever necessary.
Background From a Hive world, she quickly learned to carry a knife and act before thinking, leaving many a red stain for those who thought to have their way with the petite girl. She happened (If you ask her now, it was destiny) to hear a wandering preacher at some stage, and the words he spoke, resonated with her soul in such a way, that right there and then she repented her ways and gave her life to the Emperor's service. A few days before being due to be taken off planet to serve, she was accosted by several men, who over powered her and raped her, leaving her for dead. During the encounter she called out to the emperor, while those attacking her, continued to mock his name. When she awoke, she knew it was the emperors will that she had survived, and forsaking the transport, resolved to hunt down those who would so slander the God Emperors name. Description Age: 35 Height: 5' 11" Weight: 180 lbs. Eyes: Green Hair: Shoulder Length red hair Handedness: Left Dominant - Just taller than average, Hephest stands with a comfortable frame. The red robes of his position hang open and are spilt in the center of his back, where a tentacular utility mechadendrite sprouts from its base on his spine. The folds beneath his hood are filled with a slurry of hair-thin cables, connecting in various points back into his sleek metallic skull. On his left temple is the Adeptus Mechanicus cog & skull, which slides away to reveal the cord socket of an MIU unit. His body is a collective mass of synthetic muscles bound beneath a suit of Flak Armor, colored and emblazoned according to the Bastards regiment. The patch on his armor however, depicts a Reaver titan on a compass rose, with a massive chainsword in its Left hand and a gatling blaster in the other. He is covered in electoos and his feet are full of coils of metal.
Personality
Hephest is inquisitive, He may often times ask questions or make comments about subjects he already knows the answer about, just to test the other person he's speaking to. He knows his was around machines, and is full of knowledge on many topics, never hesitating to share some tidbit of information on anything that runs through his implants. He thoroughly hates not being with his titans, and hates even more having to serve a squad of criminals in return for bringing back a piece of STC.
Background
Hephest was the chief enginseer aboard a Reaver class battle titan. It's mission was to deploy in dangerous worlds and retrieve pieces of information for the Adeptus Mechanicus. During one such trip to a long lost forge world, the squad of titans were attacked while reutrning with a piece of STC print-out. During their retreat, the entire squad perished save the titan he was on. After receiving a killing blow, the princeps tasked Hephest with setting the reactor to critical for one last final charge. As he finished, he left through the bottom hatch, gliding to the ground gracefully as his prized god-machine and its loyal crew ran to their deaths in one last valiant charge. Upon returning to Mars with the piece of STC, the Adeptus was furious at his for not doing all he can to protect his titan, and sent him to this penal regiment, allowing him to continue without convicting him of anything, though his punishment is obvious: he has to be servant to you criminal backwash.
