1st Guchovian Defence Force:
The Guchovian Defence Force is the local Planetary Defence Force, mostly dealing with Feral Orks, culling mutant populations and keeping the undercity gangs in check. Given the limited combat experience and self-provided equipment, the Guchovian Defence Force is considered, like most PDFs, undertrained, under-equipped and incompetent. In addition, the majority of the stationed Guchovian Defence Force has been requisitioned and repurposed as reinforcements for the Spinward Front; what’s left of the Guchovian Defence Force is now severely undermanned and under the command of an inexperienced, newly promoted, Colonel Grigoriy Becse.

Starting World: Guchov
Commanding Officer: Grigoriy Becse: Sanguine
Training and Regiment type: Light Infantry, Die Hards.
Favoured Weapons: Grenade Launcher, Heavy Flamer (+10 on all Logistics tests to acquire these weapons and ammunition for them)
Starting XP: 1000 for Guardsmen, 700 for Support Specialist.
Diviniations: Players are welcome to include a divination (from DH2e) if they wish.
Goals:Players are welcome to include long term and short term goals for their character. Resolving a goal will earn XP relevant to the goal and its difficulty.

Characters belonging to the 1st Guchovian Defence Force gain the following advantages:
Characteristic Modifiers:  + 3 to Willpower, + 3 Toughness
Starting Aptitudes: Toughness
Starting Skills: Common Lore (Imperial Creed), Common Lore (Imperium), Linguistics (Low Gothic), Navigate (Surface)
Starting Talents: Nerves of Steel, Die Hard, Sprint
Wounds: Characters from this regiment generate starting Wounds normally.
Standard Regimental Kit (Arms and Armor): Las Carbine and 4 charge packs, 1 flak vest, 1 flak helmet, 1 knife, 2 frag grenades and 2 smoke grenades.
Standard Regimental Kit (Tools): Basic tools
Standard Regimental Kit (Papers): Guchov identification papers, PDF manual
Standard Regimental Kit (Miscellanea): One uniform, one cold weather uniform, one dress uniform, one rucksack, one cold weather sleeping pack, one rechargeable lamp, combat sustenance rations (two weeks), one mess kit and one water canteen

Home world: Stubborn as a grox: The populace on Guchov is often considered to be, at best, tenacious, formidable and implacable. At worst, the population is dour, uneducated and unimaginative. Characters from Guchov start with Nerves of Steel

PDF standard kit: The regiment is supplied by the local planetary Government, and is under equipped compared to the usual standard kit for Guard regiments.

Lax equipment regulations: The regiment may choose to gain a +10 bonus on any Logistics Test. However, on any test where this bonus is used, if any doubles are rolled (22, 33, 44, etc.) whether the Test was a success or a failure, then the unique items and non-regulation equipment attracts unwanted attention from higher authorities.

Creative acquisitions: Player characters can start with an additional item of Scarce Quality or less, at GM’s discretion. Players that use this option must choose a group and a drawback for that group.
Group ideas include but aren’t limited to: A Noble House, a hive gang, a local Mechanicus group, or the Ecclesiarchy.
Drawback ideas include, but aren’t limited to: Owing a favour to the group, the group wants your head, the group refuses to work with you.
This is a RP option for players that want some extra starting gear. I’ll veto anything I think is broken, but otherwise, have fun. I can suggest groups if would like.


Restricted Specialities: Commissar and Storm Trooper. Ministorum Priest, Tech-Priest Enginseer, and Sanctioned Psykerare currently restricted. You would need a strong case as to why a person would be with the PDF.  Ogryn and Ratlings are more reasonable.

Fixed initial stat typo.
Increased Starting XP
Included optional divination
Changed Favoured weapons to be less restrictive.
