Classes: All classes are available. You do not have to maintain the fluff of your class. Feel free to reskin things however you wish.
Races: Humans and demihumans. No undead. Ask about Blighted.
Foci: No restrictions; all are allowed.
Hit Points: You roll a 6 at level 1. Adjust accordingly (due to class, foci, or Constitution). Hit points are rolled normally at level 2 and beyond.
Equipment: Either roll 3d6 x 10 for your starting silver or take 100 silver (no roll). You may also take an equipment package from p. 29 with modest changes (e.g. swapping one weapon for another). Starting silver from equipment packages may not be spent until gameplay begins.
Languages: Use the list on p. 107. Among creatures with language abilities, Trade Cant is the default in the wilderness.
Attributes & Skills: You have multiple options.
1) Take the standard array of 14, 12, 11, 10, 9, 7.
1a) Take the skill associated with your background, along with your free/hobby skill.
1b) You may roll on the Growth/Learning table three (3) times or you may pick two (2) skills from the Learning table (except "Any Skill") for your background.
2) Roll 3d6 twelve times and place them in a circle, like the face of a clock. Then assign six of the numbers in a continuous sequence from the circle (forward or backward) to your six Attribute scores in order.
2a) Take the skill associated with your background, along with your free/hobby skill.
2b) You may roll on the Growth/Learning table three (3) times or you may pick two (2) skills from the Learning table (except "Any Skill") for your background.
3) Take a special array of 16, 14, 12, 10, 7, 6.
3a) Take the skill associated with your background, along with your free/hobby skill.
3b) You may not roll on the Growth table for your background. You may either roll three (3) times on the Learning table or you may pick two (2) skills from the Learning table (except "Any Skill") for your background.
