Talents:
-
Mechadendrite use (Utility - Allows use of Manipulator, Medicae, Utility, and Optical Mechadendrites)
-
Weapon Training (Solid Projectile - Can use weapons within this class)
-
Ambidextrous -
Archivator (When making Scholastic or Forbidden Lore tests using recorded information of any sort, can reroll 1 failed test with a -10 penalty. Tests to perform research or find Information in these circumstances take half the usual time)
-
Adeptus Xenos-Biologis (This character is well versed in the practice of medicine and the study of alien biology. As such, they do not suffer the typical -20 penalty to operate on xenos with which they have a related Forbidden Lore skill. If they do not have the appropriate Forbidden Lore skill, they still incur the -20 penalty. For example, a character with Forbidden Lore (Tau) will still suffer a -20 penalty when attempting medicae on an Ork.)
-
Total Recall (Mental conditioning or cranial augmentation enables the character to record and recall great amounts of information, effectively granting them a perfect memory. The character can automatically remember trivial facts or pieces of information the character might feasibly have picked up in the past. When dealing with more detailed, complex, or obscure facts, such as the exact layout of a defence network, the GM may require a successful Intelligence Test to recall the information.)

- Possible Future Purchases:
Talents:
Mastery (400 XP. Prereq Rank 4 in selected skill): The Acolyte has mastered a single skill. She can spend a Fate point to automatically pass a skill test with his chosen skill, provided the final modifier to her skill test is Challenging (+0) or better. She scores a number of degrees of success equal to the characteristic bonus of the skill’s associated characteristic. This talent may be taken more than once, each time for a different skill.
Total Recall (200 XP. Prereq Int 30): Mental conditioning or cranial augmentation enables the character to record and recall great amounts of information, effectively granting them a perfect memory. The character can automatically remember trivial facts or pieces of information the character might feasibly have picked up in the past. When dealing with more detailed, complex, or obscure facts, such as the exact layout of a defence network, the GM may require a successful Intelligence Test to recall the information.
Xenosavant (300 XP. Prereq 3 Forbidden Lore Xenos): In her study and prosecution of the xenos threat, the Acolyte has become well-versed in the ways and forms of the myriad alien races that menace humanity. The character can attempt any Forbidden Lore (Xenos) test in which she is not trained as an untrained skill test as if it were not a Specialist skill.
The Flesh is Weak (400 XP. Prereq 2+Cybernetics, Tech-Use +10): This character gains the Machine (X) Trait, where X is equal
to half of the number of Cybernetics she possesses (rounded up), to a maximum of an amount equal to her Toughness
Bonus. If she gains a new Cybernetic, the value of the Trait increases to reflect the new Cybernetic. Note that this only applies to Cybernetics such as bionic replacement limbs and organ replacements, sub-systems, and mechadendrites, and not to Traits
and Talents that grant similar effects.
Cybernetic Boost (300 XP. Prereq 1+ Cyber limbs, Tech-Use): As a Half Action, this character may spend a Fate Point and make a Challenging (+0) Tech-Use Test. If she succeeds, she gains either the Unnatural Agility (X) or Unnatural Strength (X) Trait, where X is equal to one, plus one for every two additional Degrees of Success she scores on the Test (or increases existing versions of those Traits by X). These Traits persist for a number of Rounds equal to her Intelligence Bonus. The character may end the effect at any time. At the end of each Round in which the character allows it to persist, she gains 1 level of Fatigue.
Cybernetic Calibrations (400 XP. Prereq, 2+Cybernetics, Tech-Use +10, Cybernetic Boost): This character, either through initiation into the mysteries of the Omnissiah or tinkering that would certainly attract negative attention from such individuals, has fine-tuned her cybernetic implants to a point of optimization. All of this character’s Cybernetics count as being one level of Craftsmanship higher than their base Craftsmanship (so, for instance, a Poor Craftsmanship bionic arm would become Common Craftsmanship, or a Good Craftsmanship limb would become Best Craftsmanship).

Ordo/Faction/Allegiance: Adeptus Mechanicus Genetors
Appearance:
Body Type: Tall, thin, lanky
Height: 5' 9”
Weight: 130lbs
Skin: Extremely Pale
Hair: Black
Eyes: Hazel
Notable Marks:
Cessia is notable on first glance simply due to her extremely pale skin and her tall, thin body both a side effect of her living her entire life in a space station. However, an even more notable feature is the near mechanical way in which she moves her limbs or walks. All movement is done with exact precision to utilize her muscle groups as efficiently as possible and result in the least overall wear and tear. This of course is all very technical, and results in a range between overly fluid movements and stuttery robotic ones, sometimes in the same action.
In addition, as a member of the Mechanicus Cessia is cybernetically augmented in various ways that are obvious when looking at her, and these are likely what a person would remember if they made it past the skin, height and movements. An optical mechadendrite is usually seen poking out of her robes to examine the surrounding area, and every standard augmentation given to Tech Priests is also present should one look hard enough.
Outfit:
Cessia dresses how most tech priests dress. She cares little for outward appearances and generally wears the red robes of the mechanicus overtop of loose fitting underclothes to allow free movement of her mechadendrite. Her robes are marked by the occasional stain of bleach or blood that has sunk into the fabric and refused to wash clean, evidence of her surgical exploits and the successes of such. The robes also have holes that have been burned into the cuffs of the sleeves and the lower hem of the robe that seem to have been caused by acid burns.
Cessia doesn't own any armor, and thus doesn't have a usual outfit that she would wear in combat. Combat isn't exactly something she is used to by and large.
Personality:
Cessia is a product of her environment through and through. She speaks rigidly and uses technical terminology at nearly every possibility even when such things hamper communication. She follows strict procedures in nearly everything she does, and has most actions boiled down to such a fine science that it borders on unnatural. This also leads her to being extremely inept in nearly all social settings that do not directly involve her areas of extreme passion and obsessive interest. If she isn't avoiding conversation entirely, she will be off to the side and trying not to draw anyone's attention as she quietly monitors the speech patterns of those present to try and deduce a better way for her to present herself. She has yet to succeed.
Should someone be interested in her areas of study or obsession the mechanical facade of over-calculated failed attempts at perfection falls away and Cessia becomes someone who talks very animatedly and can do so for hours on end regardless of whether the person actually understands her studies or not.
Cessia is most at home in a lab or Medicae facility where she can focus on her work to the exclusion of all else. Her bedside manor is absolutely horrible of course, but her treatments are as good if not better than what one would get from any non mechanicus Chirurgeon assuming one can get past the countless offers of 'biological and technological body enhancements'.
Flaws:
Agoraphobia - Fear of open spaces, large public gatherings, etc.Cessia despises large crowds, and a life in a space station has led her to feel comfort in the small confines of a lab or Medicae or service corridor. She struggles to leave these environments, and does best when she has had time to acclimate to a person in private before joining them out into a public space. The same goes for open spaces, having a reliable point of contact eases the stress that it causes enough for Cessia to generally function normally.
Obsessive – An unhealthy and compulsive preoccupation with something or someone.Cessia is obsessed with three things. Xenobiology, Cybernetic/Bio-augmentation, and Medicae/Chymistry. While she is versed in the general areas of knowledge all Mechanicus are exposed to, and sometimes can even excel in them should she be required to, Cessia would happily spend her entire life working on simply these three obsessions. She will focus on them to the exclusion of all else, side-tracking missions, ruining conversations, or otherwise allowing them to get in the way of her official duties.

++Specimen Theta-001: Decanting++
+Tag: Scientific Aptitude.+
Decanting of vat aged specimen 001 of experimental group Theta (Notated as Theta-001 in further documentation) occurred without incident. The blessing of the Omnissiah has preserved the biomatter of Theta-001’s form and no significant degradation or abnormalities are noted at this time. Theta-001 is currently unresponsive but their biological mechanisms are functioning to appropriate standards. Breathing nominal. Heart rate nominal. Brain activity nominal. Decanting classified as a success.
[+]Addendum (Date: 1 552 [REDACTED]M41): Upon further comparison to previous vat aged specimens cross referenced to records of standard humans, Theta-001 has a sub-optimal weight to height ratio. Enhanced nutrition is to be provided to enhance further growth.
[+]Conjecture: Vat aged specimens aboard Imperial Naval Port designated ‘Port Wander’ have shown an upward tendency towards abnormal muscle and fat distributions, accompanied by above average ratios of thin epidermal layers with little pigmentation. Further study is required to reach a supported conclusion on the nature of these outliers.
Specimen Theta-001 regained consciousness exactly 3.791 hours after decanting. Ocular nerves are functioning to accepted levels. Auditory senses fully functioning to all standard frequencies. Specimen shows full range of responses to Haptic feedback on all limbs and appendages. Specimen shows verbal activity noted as irrelevant to the decanting process. Specimen will be further educated when mobility in all limbs is functional and unnecessary verbal utterances cease. Sedative issued.
[+]Irrelevant Vocal Activity transcribed for completeness: “Mommy? Mommy!? I’m cold mommy.”
[+]Note: Subject lost coherent speech when attending Magos Biologis administered further testing of Haptic senses. Utterances continued, categorized as ‘Crying’ for completeness.
[+]Addition: Specimen Theta-001 requires significant attention, it has shown aptitude for the sciences in early examination and has been marked as a potential candidate for initiation into the Mechanicum. Praise the Omnissiah, may his wisdom bring the purity of steel to this crude biomatter that it might serve the Blessed Machine.

++Education++
Specimen Theta-001 was successfully integrated into developmental group 028. Specimen Theta-001 continues to exceed expectations in areas of significance to the Mechanicum and has been successfully repaired, removing the bioware error that caused irrelevant verbal outbursts and un-harmonious behavior. Specimen continues to develop at an acceptable rate and will be further tested regarding aptitude for potential induction into the Priesthood.
[+]Addendum (Date: 1 005 [REDACTED]M41): Specimen has shown increasing difficulty in interacting with other specimens within developmental group 028. Suspected cause: bioware repairs initiated to fix identified malfunctions.
[+]Note: Technical aptitude remains unaffected, testing and education will continue and further interaction with other specimens will be minimized to create a more harmonious developmental process.
[+]Query (Date: 1 029 [REDACTED]M41): Are improvements planned to address difficulty with interactions with other Specimens?
[+]Resolution: Negative. Specimen functions within all expected parameters, interactions categorized as ‘social’ are of limited importance. No further adjustments will be made to the biological circuitry at this time.
Specimen Theta-001 has shown marked improvements in performance since removal from developmental group 028. Specimen Theta-001 will begin Mechanicum sanctioned training in the ways of the Omnissiah to be inducted into the Magos Biologis upon completion of standard education and initiation into the Mechanicum.
Specimen has shown increasing agitation marked by perspiration increase to abnormal levels, pupil dilation and activation of the crude ‘Fight or Flight’ response when in areas of high human activity as well as spaces larger than a standard Medicae facility or blessed workshop. For optimal mental performance testing and education should be done in areas that are free of these variables.
[+]Note: No further adjustment of Biological circuitry sanctioned at this time after the negative effects of previous adjustments. All future requests for repairs must be sent to [REDACTED] for review.

++Induction//Enhancement++
Specimen Theta-001, after data transference with Mars and authorization from [REDACTED], has completed training in the ways of the Mechanicum. Aptitudes shown include: Biology, Chymestry, Cybernetics, and all standard Mechanicus requirements for induction into the priesthood. Specimen Theta-001 showed uncharacteristic outbursts not seen since early Decanting that were thought repaired. Possible malfunction. Noted for later viewing by Specimen Theta-001.
[+]Note: Repairs to biological circuitry have shown some degradation, maintenance is recommended should outbursts and fluid seepage from ocular organs begin to interfere with expected tasks.
[+]Consideration (Date: 1 970 [REDACTED]M41): Maintenance will not be necessary at this time, or in the foreseeable future
Induction was successful. Specimen Theta-001, hereafter referred to by chosen designation ‘Cessia’ underwent standard enhancements and implantation of cybernetics bringing her closer to the Omnissiah. No surgical rejection recorded or expected, all cybernetic functions nominal, the machine spirits have bound successfully with the biomatter of designate Cessia.
[+]Addendum: Log has been transferred to Specimen Theta-001 for study and further use. Log has also been sent to [REDACTED] for storage and cataloguing to allow potential use in future vat-aging experimentation. End Biologis Log.

++Retrospective//Current Projects++
Notation begins. The notes on my growth and education have provided insight into the human body and mind that was overlooked by previous generations of tech priests. Upon further communication with tolerable humans I have discovered that ‘Mommy’ is the primary caregiver for most infants for the early stages of life. It is clear that even in my uneducated state, I was able to identify the Magos as my primary caregiver, showing impressive ability for friend/foe recognition even in undeveloped minds.
[+]Note: End Retrospective. Little else of note occured during my education or decanting. Important findings shown above are all that was useful.
[+]Addendum: Decanting rooms should be made warmer to ensure accurate body temperature is maintained within the Specimens and on the Decanting tables. This should prevent outbursts from future Specimens.
Notation Continues / Current Projects: My works have been logged in seperate, single purpose Dataslates to allow for easy categorization of information. As a result this log has been left unused for some time. This time included my familiarization with Mechanicus procedures through active non-educational practice, along with works spread throughout Port Wander in every Biologis lab and Medicae facility that would allow my presence.
[+]Observation: My aptitude in Medicae and my knowledge in the field has grown exponentially via these ‘field work’ days. Further field work could prove beneficial to my continued advancement, as well as provide further opportunity to study [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and [REDACTED] biology. I find myself stimulated endlessly in these topics, and I am confident that my work will be beneficial.
Current projects and those missed during lapse in notation within this log include:
Ongoing study of [REDACTED] biology. The unique systems of this species have shown potential for transference into possible technologies and cybernetics for use within the Imperium. Excretions have proven extremely corrosive and could be weaponized should I be given further subjects for dissection and study.
Ongoing advancement of Chymestry knowledge base and aptitude.
Cybernetic research and improvements. Intent: Incorporation of biological components into Cybernetic improvements to merge the Blessed Machine with the natural machine of organic evolution into one.
Relational Enhancement is being undergone to address the malfunctions noted within my developmental logs. Further bio-circuitry adjustments carry risk for little reward, I will simply engage in ‘friendship’ in an attempt to improve the lacking areas of my biological form.
Future: I endeavor to find an environment that would stimulate further advancement of my chosen areas of study. Note: A placement that contains a supply of test subjects for further experimentation and dissection for study is ideal for efficient data gathering and testing processes to take place.
