Backstory:
Betrayal!
The peace caravan, laden with goodwill and tidings ofthe southlands, was headed for the Elven homeland. Slythe was among the Saurus guardians while the skins would do the majority of organizing the peace treaties between the two nations. The trip had been long and the terrain rough, even before they had left the jungles of the south.
They reached the coast of Araby and chartered a boat towards the Elven homeland. IN the midst of the churning sea they spotted a distant ship on the horizon, headed straight towards them. Within the next hour, the skies had darkened and the sea began to churn. Waves after wave buffeted the ship, keeping them from preparing for a possible battle. Before the enemy could clearly be seen, a single, massive wave hit the ship, causing it to list badly to the port side. In this initial wave, Slythe was taken overboard as well as the railing her had gripped onto.
He woke on a serene coast of palm trees and sand. Debris littered the coast, but the only other body he found as a single dying skink. The dying Skink was only able to tel Slythe that the treasure had been taken by the raiders, and that they knew exactly where to attack them for maximum effect. The storm and the waves were magical in nature. With his dying words the Skink charged Slythe to find the raiders, and retrieve what had been taken.
So Slythe struck out on a quest of vengence, searching for an unknown enemy in an unknown land. He has traveled far north into the grey mountains.....
