Appearance:
Lokar is a young feral who wears his carapace armor with pride as it's much better than anything the best warriours on his homeworld could ever dream to possess. Enjoying the occasional hunt as it reminds him of his roots he has decorated his armor with bone trophies. His carapace helm proudly displays two bull-like horns and a tribal artwork of a scary beetle face. When not wearing his helm you can see the thick funnel neck of his survival suit zipped up tight to his chin hiding his explosive collar. Slung across his back is a large evil-looking two-handed Battleaxe.

Personality:
Growing up amongst a bunch of chaos worshiping ferals Lokar isn't above lying, cheating, stealing or even murder if the need arises. A primitive man with primitive ideals, he thinks might is right. Young and eager to prove himself, Lokar rushes in where angels fear to tread.
Background:
Khargoth Bloodaxe was a huge beast of a man, blessed by the gods many times over he was widely known for his two heads, scaly skin, spiked tail and last but not least his namesake the Bloodaxe a great fell weapon gifted to him by a powerful spirit from the twisted realm. His raiding party's exploits were legendary and his reputation ensured that the clan Bloodaxe was the strongest clan as far as word of mouth could travel. All other clans lived in villages where the Bloodaxes boasted a large town for their domain.
Lokar of the clan Bloodaxe was a young man fresh from the trials of passage, he had passed of course, but better yet was marked out as special by none other than the High Priest Rhavek and taken on as his apprentice. Rhavek was a powerful Warlock and leader of the Contorted Cult he was both feared and respected in equal measure. Lokar considered it an honour to call him master but his training was hard and his master's teachings cruel. Learning the art of Dark Flame he had to drink a potion of corruption that tangled him up inside so much it almost cost him his life, to learn the art of Sacrifice he was tortured many times over. But the pain and anguish was well worth it, no longer would he have to go out with the hunting party to provide the clan with meat, he had more important things to do learning the ways of the twisted realm and how to summon powerful spirits to bargain with and aid him in his ambitions. Even the sight of his new cultist's robes opened doors and cleared paths for him. All in it was a hopeful time for Lokar full of great potential. He was set to rise to a powerful position amongst the most influential cults within the greatest of the clans, life was good.
That is until one fateful summer's eve when the lookouts raised a panicked alarm. Confusion was widespread, clearly something was amiss. Lokar in his youthful eagerness rushed ahead of his master to check out the action, his heart lept within his chest and he was filled with excitement as he saw a fireball descending from the stars, perhaps an omen or a sign from the gods. As he watched in amazement it slowly descended towards the centre of town and something solid but hard to make out could be seen in the middle of the blazing ball. It slowed as it approached the ground and with a gentle thud came to rest amid the town square at which point the fire extinguished its self to reveal a huge bird with a massive wingspan. A few of the bravest warriors carefully approached, one gently prodded the monstrous creature with his spear and the distinct sound of metal on metal rang out. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes Lokar thought, a giant Iron Firebird. Just then a clunking and hissing sound startled the crowd as an opening started to appear on the side of the bird and a ramp descended. To Lokar's shock out marched numerous what looked like Beetle Men pointing odd-looking short spears at his fellow clansmen. Then without warning lightning bolts flew from the ends of the short spears ripping through his people. The attack was devastating, many brave warriors charged the attackers but were mercilessly cut down by lightning bolts before they could swing a blow, their flesh charred, their bodies left with large smouldering holes going all the way through from front to back, their hardened leather armour proving useless in the face of such power. Archers fired upon the invaders only to have their arrows bounce off the hard beetle shells. The Bestial Invaders spread out slaying anything that moved, panic spread, one of them levelled its lightning hurling short spear at Lokar and not knowing what to do he drew his sword in reply, after all, best to die with blade in hand. But before his death could come his attacker was stopped by one of its fellow warriors. It looked Lokar up and down then spoke ''this one looks important, leave him for the inquisitor’’.
At this moment a burning woman appeared at the opening in the firebird and descended down the walkway, all around her was lit by the light from her flaming body.
''an amazing sight to behold'' Lokar thought ''such power, she must be a goddess, what did we do to anger her so?''.
Before he could contemplate this further a loud voice rang out behind him ''Trespasser! this will not stand!.
It was his master High Priest Rhavek ''I challenge you to a Warlocks duel! he demanded of the Fiery Intruder.
''I accept'' came the unsettling sound of her reply ''you are too old to be of use to me anyway''.
Lokar had heard of such duelling, a battle of minds and magical power. The two locked eyes and the contest begun, mere seconds later the High Priest screamed out in agony then fell to his knees small jets of fire erupting from his eyes and mouth before dropping to the ground a burnt-out husk. Lokar was stunned, never before had he imagined that such power could exist. The Burning Goddess turned her gaze upon Lokar and after a moment's study she pointed at him and said ''that one, I may have use of him''. Two Beetle Warriors advanced towards him brandishing strange clubs with small lightning bolts stuck on the end. He tried to fight them of determined to impress the gods, even scoring a solid blow with his blade but it was deflected harmlessly away by the beast's hard shell when all they had to do was merely touch him with their clubs and his body would get filled with some paralysing power. Together they beat him down to the ground putting him in irons and securing a strange slightly bulky collar around his neck. Bloody, beaten and bound Lokar looked about the town centre, all was hopeless, his people slain, but then, proudly marching around the corner, hope rose again. Khargoth Bloodaxe arrived with his elite guard, brandishing the mighty Bloodaxe that he had used to decapitate, dismember and disembowel so many foes, if anyone had a chance it would be him. Kargoth bellowed a mighty raw challenging the Blazing Interloper, she calmly looked him up and down.
''I have no need of a primitive animal like you'' she said dismissively.
Khargoth charged, both heads displaying a feral snarl, tail thrashing frantically he hurled himself towards the Flaming Witch only to be met with a gout of flame projected from her outstretched arms. He was totally engulfed and incinerated leaving nothing behind but some scraps of burnt leather and bone, only the Bloodaxe remained amongst the ash and smell of burnt flesh. With that, all hope was lost.
Lokar looked up at the Burning Inquisitor and pleaded ''Are you a goddess? what did we do to ensure your wrath?''
The Inquisitor fixed her fiery gaze upon him and chuckled ''no, but I am in the service of the God-Emperor''.
''The gods have an Emperor?'' Lokar asked.
The inquisitor chuckled again ''you could say that, yes''.
A Beetle Warrior interrupted ''excuse me inquisitor'' it said while reaching up and removing its head revealing a mans face underneath, it's a man in some strange armour Lokar realized ''the natives are all neutralized or fleeing for their lives, we have carefully gathered all the artifacts that could be found'' he reported.
''Very good Sargent, don't forget that axe, my new pet may make use of it'' the inquisitor replied.
The next few months for Lokar were full of one reality smashing concept after another, his entire life and belief system turned upside down. First, he was taken into the belly of the Iron Firebird and flew up to the stars where he looked down upon his home and was surprised to see its roundness. Then he saw the impossibly huge great hall of the God-Emperor just floating there in the black sky and was taken inside where men in strange clothing pushed and manipulated bright gems along the walls for some unknown purpose. He was taken to a cell and left there unable to count the days until Inquisitor Maud Grimm began his Imperial conditioning. If he thought Rhavek's teachings were cruel then he was wrong, this was much worst. He was tortured, sleep-deprived and brainwashed for what seemed like an eternity. There were times when he couldn't even remember his own name but through it all, he could never forget, Inquisitor Maud Grimm was his new master. When she spoke the ground shook and the heavens quaked, he must obey her at all costs. After this things got much better for the young feral cultist. His new Xanthite Inquisitorial master encouraged him to further develop his forbidden powers and to study any gods he wished, practicing their dark arts so long as he understood that the Emperor stood above them in all things. She told him that this was a great secret and that he must report to her all knowledge of such entities. Then he was introduced to a new kind of magic called tech-nolo-gy and given a rather sobering demonstration on how the explosive collar around his neck worked. The criminal they used for this made quite the bloody mess. Once this was done Inquisitor Grimm told him that if he wanted the collar removed he must prove himself trustworthy and become promoted from Probationer to Acolyte and finally she presented him with his failed clans icon, the Bloodaxe, and with a smug look on her face she said ''may it bring you more luck than its previous owner''...
