Background:Rena is the only daughter of an eccentric biology professor and a grey-market commodities broker, and the apple hasn't fallen far from the trees. She has a borderline-obsessive passion for stimulants, both their creation and subsequent sale, and thanks to her unique upbringing has gone on to excel at both of these activities. Due to the often illegal nature of her vocation, Rena strives to keep abreast of local and interplanetary legalism, though her fantastic memory makes this a relatively simple task. In fact, Ms Young is a veritable font of esoteric knowledge; from weather patterns, to military insignia, to musical theory, once Rena learns something it is permanently committed to memory.
Some months ago, a deal went south. Rena had to skip town with the just clothes on her back, her reliable las pistol, and whatever essentials she could cram into a backpack, making the first shuttle off-world and into hopeful obscurity. Though annoyed at first that her research had ground to a halt, Rena discovered new avenues to channel her expertise into, applying her medical knowledge to more honest work, and learning that her flair for commerce extended beyond the limits of the drug trade.
