Appearance: Maine coon markings, black/brown/tan fur starting to grey around the face and ruff. Yellow eyes. Tall, built like a linebacker a bit past his prime. As he's aged, a lot of what was muscle has softened, but he carries it well. Peg on his left leg, but he never seems to notice it's not the original.
Attire: Medium blue pantaloons, no shirt, red bandana wrapped to leave his ears free. 3 small gold earrings in the left ear, 1 in the right.
Personality: Jovial, easy-going, reliable, confident. Willing to give everyone a chance, and ready to be your friend - if you deserve it.
Vices: Good food, good drink, good company

Amanzi Ngeru was born to merchant parents in Riddleport, Varisia. A middle child in a large family, Amanzi and his siblings were encouraged from a young age to explore their interests. He and his older brother Onran were always fascinated with the water, and spent hours each day around the docks, learning the sailor's trade and swimming in the harbor. It was during one of these swims that Onran was killed by a shark, and Amanzi lost his leg trying to save his brother.

As soon as he came of age, Amanzi took work a merchant ship, and left Riddleport to travel the Inner Sea. While it took some time to grow accustomed to his peg leg on a rolling ship's deck, he quickly demonstrated a knack for cooking that has made him a valued crewmember on any ship he has served on.

Years later, the ship Amanzi was serving on was chased into a storm by pirates. The ship sank, and Amanzi was thrown into the water far from land. He has no idea how he woke up ashore the next morning, but but his near-death experience sparked a power in him that he has been learning to control ever since.

Following the shipwreck, Amanzi made his way along the coast for days, arriving at Port Peril exhausted and with naught but the tattered clothes on his back. With no other option, he took a berth on a pirate ship, and began his less-than-legal career at sea. In the years since, he has developed his own code, and won't sail with captains or crews who violate it.

Added backstory. Also changed a couple things, pending your approval:

-Added Overprotective as a Drawback, and Water-Touched as the associated Trait
-Traded Craft (carpentry) for Profession (cook)
-Replaced Goblin with Varisian as a starting language. Needs approval because catfolk technically don't get access to regional languages, which makes no sense to me.
-Traded Ice Armor revelation for Fluid Nature
-Bought a bunch of mundane/RP gear
