I've created Egill without much bother but I've stumbled on equipment.

There is currently no listing for a 2-handed weapon (sword or otherwise). I'm ok with taking a different weapon but perhaps its something we can home brew.

Also 'mono' is only listed against a mono-knife, there appears to be no mono upgrade. Egill's 2-hander was mono'd which is why I've noticed it. Perhaps this is another thing that might be home brewed. Mono seems to give 1 AP and Rending (1)

Going to ask a question for Felyx; if he can't take Tech Priest archetype (Tier 3) how does he get the 'Mechanicum' KEYWORD to allow him some of the advances he probably wants. Felyx being a Skitarii (Teir 2) doesn't really fit.

I think there are 'custom' characters you can build but I've not looked into it, but thought this might be a consideration for Jeff and you.

He might fit an Inquisitorial Sage archetype and just say he can have 'Mechanicum' KEYWORD for his background. This might be as per rules but as I said not looked into yet.

I haven't looked into it too closely, but from what I've read, advanced character creation seems very open and flexible. Basically just take pieces from everywhere to build your PC, pick any skills, talents, race, faction etc. you want. It makes the archetypes seem more like quick start PC builds than anything. I imagine we should be able to recreate felyx there without too much trouble.

1. Are we using the optional rule INNATE VS LEARNED, whereby some skills require you to have spent xp in them to allow you to roll a skill check with that skill?  See page 127.

Learned skills are...
Medicae
Pilot
Scholar
Survival
Tech

2. Are we transfering our exisiting equipment over or do we take what our archetypes give us?

3. There are no rules for two handed swords!

I like that rule, yes. Fits more with DH and makes those specialist skills more valuable for characters that really focused on them, like Marius and Felyx.

I am open to opinions on this, but I think the easiest thing to do here for balance and fairness is to simply ditch all of your existing inventory and take what is provided by the archetypes. You can also just build a character with the advanced character creation rules and pick whatever equipment you want there.

The reason for this is that you are taking quite a big power jump going from DH2 PCs to Tier 2 WANG PCs. If we port over your equipment, it will be awkward because your characters have the stats to fight Tier 2 enemies but your weapons and armor will be considerably underpowered. It's like giving space marines las pistols, it doesn't really fit any more and will make my job a lot harder in balancing fights.

If you feel at all constrained or unhappy with an archetype I would highly recommend looking into ACC. It's really not hard or complicated and opens up a lot of options for you.

The only equipment I do want to make sure we transfer is any special equipment that's really important to the PC, or rewards. We can homebrew rules where needed for stuff like that and handle it on a case-by-case basis, but for the most part I think the game will run a lot smoother if we ditch equipment and take the new stuff in WANG.

3. There are no rules for two handed swords![/quote]

Part of the reason why I want to just take new equipment. I don't really like home brewing truthfully, and I know that there will not be rules or stats for every piece of equipment we currently have.

Two-handed stats may come in a splat but for the time being I think you will have to dry your tears over a new power sword or force sword as tier 2 PCs can easily afford those, and we can just pretend that it's two-handed narratively lol.
