Rumor has it that Billy had a lot of contacts in the spirit trade, and had bought and sold close to a thousand spirits over the last two decades.

BLOODY CONFRONTATION BREAKS OUT AT IRONWORKS SHOP, QUELLED BY CITY WATCH - "A violent struggle broke out late the evening of the 14th of Ulsivet at Brooks' Ironworks in Coalridge. Workers were picketing outside the factory when they viciously attacked a city watch detail..."

Rumor - You overheard at a bar in crows foot that someone has been drawing strange hexes and runes being drawn on the walls of certain shops and other establishments in the district. Of course, bad luck seems to befall the owners and workers of the places soon afterwards...

NAVY WARSHIP HIJACKED IN PORT, LAST SEEN SAILING TO SEA

In an event that has turned the docks upside down, a criminal outfit appears to have used occult measures to hijack a navy warship in port. The vessel in question, the Abourkir, was last seen sailing out of port on the 29th of Ulsivet. At least 23 Navy sailors have been found dead or reported missing in a bloodbath that occurred at the docks and on the warship's top deck. One troubled survivor states that the criminals used a spirit door to infiltrate the ship before unleashing a possessed individual who wrecked havoc in the crew in a unhinged blood rage...

After two weeks with operations at a standstill, Winslow Beauchamp, boss of several ironworks factories in Coalridge, has conceded to union demands for wage hikes and 50 hour work-week limits...


HEADLINE: BRUTAL GANG LEADER ARRESTED

LOUIS HUTTON, the alleged leader of the infamous Grinders, was taken into custody in a dramatic arrest in the Docks on the 3rd of Mendar. He is expected to receive a life sentence at Ironhook or execution in the coming days...

Sercy is the de facto boss of the Grinders now. How this may affect the gang's relationships with other outfits remains to be seen.


HEADLINE: VIOLENCE IN CROW'S FOOT CONTINUES, NO END IN SIGHT

The only thing keeping things from getting even further out of hand is the Crows, who recognize that too much violence and strife is bad for business. The Hive got to Margarette Smythe and Goldie, the 1st and 3rd ranking leaders of the Fog Hounds, but Bear, their 2nd, has vanished. The gang has entirely ceased operations.
