Rolls for the Brother ConfessorWS 29 BS 33 S 41 T 30 A 37 I 36 P 31 W 37 F 42 Reroll WS 36 Switch BS with T Final WS 36 BS 30 S 41 T 33 A 37 I 36 P 31 W 37 F 42 Noble Born Characteristic Modifiers: – 5 Willpower, + 5 Fellowship Starting Skills: Noble born characters begin play with Literacy (Int), Speak Language (High Gothic) (Int), and Speak Language (Low Gothic) (Int) as untrained Basic Skills. Etiquette: Nobles are schooled in how to comport themselves in all manner of formal situations. They gain a + 10 bonus on Interaction Skill Tests when dealing with high authority and in formal situations. Legacy of Wealth: To be born an Imperial noble is to inherit a legacy of staggering wealth. Even a scorned scion enjoys access to resources beyond the wildest dreams of the toiling masses. This adds + 1 to the group’s starting Profit Factor. Supremely Connected: Nobles have extensive connections, and they know that dropping the “right” names into a conversation can open more doors than a fistful of Thrones. A starting noble born character begins play with the Peer (Nobility) Talent. Also, to reflect his family’s powerbase, he also gains one additional Peer from the following list: Academics, Adeptus Mechanicus, Administratum, Astropaths, Ecclesiarchy, Government, Mercantile, Military, or Underworld. Vendetta: Every noble house has its sworn enemies and rivals who would do it and its members harm. Even the protection of a Rogue Trader’s mission merely forces those who wish you harm to be a bit more cautious and subtle in exacting their vengeance. As a result, starting noble born characters have powerful enemies, perhaps in the shape of a rival noble house or some other powerful group. The details of these enemies are left to the player and the Game Master to define, working together to create a formidable threat. Whilst they do not dog the character’s steps at every turn, these enemies aim to inconvenience, harm, or kill him whenever he crosses their path. The noble character, of course, is free to return the favour when it’s expedient to do so. Starting Wounds: Noble born characters double their starting Toughness Bonus and add 1d5 to the result to determine their starting number of Wounds. Fate Points: Roll 1d10 to determine a noble born character’s starting Fate Points. On a 1–3, he begins with 2 Fate Points; on a 4–9, he begins with 3 Fate Points; on a 10 he begins with 4 Fate Points. Took Peer(Administratum) for choice. Savant Effect: You gain your choice of Logic (Int) as a trained Basic skill or the Peer (Academic) Talent. You also gain your choice of + 3 Intelligence or + 3 Fellowship, but you suffer – 3 Toughness. Fellowship Zealot Favoured of the Faithful: You gain + 5 Fellowship and the Peer (Ecclesiarchy) Talent. You suffer – 5 Toughness. Darkness Dark Secret Cost: 200xp Effect: The character carries within him the mark of his past. Something terrible happened to him, but it gave him a great advantage as well. Add + 6 to any one Characteristic. However, the character also harbours a dark secret he struggles to be rid of. Gain + 1d5 Insanity Points and work with the GM to determine what this is and what circumstances are required to remove it. It should be something difficult, rare, esoteric, and very dangerous for the Explorer (such as getting blasted with gamma rays from a certain pulsar at a certain time). Fellowship Haunted by Thy Own Sins Cost: 300xp Effects: Gain the Dark Soul, Frenzy and Flagellant (see sidebar) Talents. In addition, gain any one Forbidden Lore as an untrained Basic Skill. However, the character also gains 1d10 Corruption Points from his past sins. Archeotech selected as basic untrained. +5 Fel taken for non-family bonus. Would you like to contact me on LINE to discuss dark secret and noble enemy please and thank you. Wounds, Insanity, Fate, CorruptionWounds 2xT bonus +3 3 Insanity Fate 4 Corruption 9 Leaving this all here. Will continue working it around and then clean up into a character sheet this weekend. And a Bout of insomnia...

1. The blood or the precedence: The patriarch Parvus Filianatis has been consumed by two things: finding those of Filianatis blood who are not cursed, and finding those allies with the skills to help them. Are you one of the last of the Blood, from branched family, bastard couplings or rare occurrence who have the innate power that comes with it? Or are you one of Precedence, those individuals of rare and exotic skill that no-one can deny?
Precedence, +5 Fellowship. Father Confessor Odwin was picked up as part of the Ecclesiarchal retinue upon ship. His ability to speak to every member of the crew regardless of station has proved invaluable time and time again.
2. The path: All men walk a path to bring glory to humanity; all men walk a path to find the light of the emperor. What path do you tread? (In-game “character class”)
Missionary Odwin is a Father Confessor of the Ecclesiarchy, a missionary to the far flung worlds of the Imperium and an adherent of the Cult of Saint Alexis Injunctus the Intractable, a local minor saint known for martyring himself to stop the servants of the warp from consuming his home moon of Dikaon.
3. The cradle: What type of world where you raised on? How does it mold its people? (As homeworld; please include a description of the world and choose the subsector the world is found)
Noble Born Father Confessor Odwin was born to the noble house of Unterberoga, one of nine houses that control the moons of the gas giant Lilchoch, nesteled in the far reaches of the Muratrox sub-sector. Each moon is in miniature a fortress world set against the strange beasts that occasionally pour out from the clouds of radon gas. Dikaon suffers the brunt of many assaults, being situated in the lowest orbit to the clouds of deadly mist, and so has devoted itself to a strictly regimented society where every person has a clearly defined part to play in its defense. Strict adherance to the Imperial creed has created a pious, collectivist people set to a single goal in service to the God Emperor and his holy edicts. Those of the noble family upon Dikaon who are not slated for oversight of one of the many important works upon the moon are given over to the Ecclesiarchy to minister to the souls of their people and rally them to the cause with their piety and determination. The other moons of Lilchoch are Gan the agri-moon, ruled over by the house Heschelk; Sela the forge-moon, ruled over by the industrious house Tambrika; Caphius the hive-moon, ruled over by houses Stavis, Octis and Merkis, each jockying for the slightest advantage in over the others; the shrine-moon of Alexis, ruled over by the pious house Injunctus and the administrative house Albious; and the cursed moon of Mish, watched over by the dieing remnants of house Caul from their slowly disintigrating orbital hab ring. Three other moons once hung in orbit around Lilchoch, now long swallowed by the mists, their inhabitants devoured by the denizens of the cursed planet and their great houses relocated to other moons.(Octis, Merkis, and Injunctus. Moons were the mining moon of Pir, the trade moon of Ertis, and the tiny pleasure moon of Erosium.)
4. The birthright: From birth to death, most Imperial citizens follow an immovable path towards their fate. However, some rare few are able to rise beyond their beginnings, however humble. What state have you risen from? What wretched or vaunted places did you tread as a child?
Savant Young Odwin was slated for the administration of one of the spire cities that house the great gun emplacements on Dikaon, but fate had other plans.
5. The lure of the void: It is a continuing, strange miracle of human nature that from the downtrodden, planet-bound masses arise adventurous, ambitious, and sometimes twisted or rebellious souls who seek more, or have it thrust upon them by uncaring fate. It is these men and women who through endeavor, fortune, or the turning of great events strike off from their home world and set foot on a greater stage. What brought you to this stage?
Zealot The Father Confessor has a deep burning zealous devotion to the Imperial creed and his calling.
6. Trials and travails: Individuals such as yourself are not simply the product of their background and training, but also of those experiences they have endured, experiences that have forged them into what they are where others around them were broken and destroyed. What tried to break you that you overcame? What has truly challenged you?
Darkness: Dark Secret During his comencement from his studies, a horde crashed upon Dikaon and the howling fiends assaulted the chambers in which his tutors were grading his final test. Their dark whispers stills plague his dreams and visions of his tutors demise haunt his waking moments.
7. Motivation: Whether motivated by burning ambition, greed, or vengeance, there is always a compelling reason that someone leaves his home world behind and ventures forth into the unknown. What drives you? What pushes you forward through every day?
Fear: Haunted By Thy Own Sins(The Vileness Within) Fear, holy unremitting fear. He fears the darkness that he has born witness, and he fears that some small part of him shall give in to the temptation of those promised whispers and damn him forever to their clutches.
8. How you came to walk: What led to the path you now walk? What compelled you to the skillset that now brings you glory?
After the event that scarred the man so thoroughly, Odwin retreated to the sanctified embrace of the Adeptus Ministorum and threw himself into the path of the penitent preacher.
9. The even more specific path: For each career, there are a number of paths they may cross. What organisations or groups have you worked for in the past? (A few examples in the table; though if you think of any I havent mentionned, do not hesitate to put it in your sheet)
Holy pilgramage to seek out and purge the foul taint of the unclean. The Father Confessor has walked closely with agents of the Ordo Hereticus and the Ordo Malleus, granting some small aid when called upon to face the evils that stalk mankind as he ministers to the faithful. (If this fits what you are looking for in path, he might be deemed a sort of traveling exorcist as such.)
10. Religious leanings: The imperium is a place of strict religious order. Most are raised from birth to worship the emperor; though some such as the astartes honor him as a great man. How religious are you? Are you part of any specific cults? Are you more puritanical in your worship, or do you hold more peculiar beliefs? Do you see the emperor as a deity of a person of great honor?
Faith is life, the Emperor is the God of Man.
11. What is your greatest strength and weakness? Strengths are what others see as respectable or admirable in your, while weaknesses are what you would struggle to hide from others, lest they look down upon your failures. What do you regard as his strengths and weaknesses, and how does this differ from your actual abilities?
Odwin's greatest strength and weakness are one in the same, his dogged belief and faith in the Emperor and the Imperial way. While this faith gives him a near overpowering motivation to do what must be done no matter the cost, it has at times blinded him what is truly going on around him if it does not conform to that myopic view of the universe.
12. How would others describe your appearance?
Harsh and crazed. Odwin is a severe and scrawny looking man, though he looks to be in his late twenties or early thirties instead of having seen six long decades of life. His robes hang loosely about his wiry form, every seal and holy item hung from his form having a long and storied history and every movement a practiced concession to the ebb and flow of those coverings. Standing at slightly less than 1.6 meters and massing less than 45 Kilos, Odwin gives off the impresion of a wild badger barely restrained by the trapings of his office. His dark grey eyes dart from face to face, a storm about to break upon those who oppose his holy mission. His carefully braided long red hair the color of dull copper an indicator of the raging flame within his soul, ever ready to burn away the sinful and unclean. Harsh and crazed, and always dangerous. Until that is he smiles, he turns the shining light of the Emperor's mercy and love upon the masses, then he transforms into a benificent and kindly father figure.
13. Who is the person your character trusts the most in the world? We all have friends and allies. How did you meet them? What position do they have in society?
Of all his companions he confides most in his sixth wife. Sister Amaris late of the Oder of the Untrampled Rose, a Famulous order of the Sororitas, retired now for the past twenty years. She is his rock of faith and truest advisor.
14. What do you think of the political games that infest imperial noble families?
Disgraceful. Borderline heresy.
15. Are you married? Do you have any children, and if so, how many? If from a high class, are you betrothed?
Eight living wives, two others now lost to him. His third wife died during childbirth, leaving a single child. His fifth... a traitorous cancer only brought down by the timely intervention of Sister Amaris, then of the Order of the Untrampled Rose and now his most cherished spouse. Of children... he has lost count but somewhere between one or two hundred with many grandchildren and even a collection of great grandchildren. His youngest child will see her second year soon and his ninth wife, Alfasia, currently carries a set of twins that may come at any time.
16. Are you more loyal to yourself, your allies, or to the imperium? Many people are quite selfish, putting their own needs and desires before everyone elses. Some have strong loyalty to their allies, and those who are part of the same organisations as them, or even to the gods they follow. Many are loyal to the “ideal” of the imperium as a beacon of civilization that must be kept lit . Only the loyal are trusted, so who have you given this loyalty?
Odwin's Loyalty is ever to the Emperor first and the Imperium as represented by the Ecclesiarchy second. All else is a tool to further the Emperor's vision.
17. How would your parents and family describe you? Do you have a proper relationship with your parents or are you estranged? Was your upbringing a source of joy or dismay for your parents? Are they still alive, or were they taken from you at a younger age?
Odwin was neither a source of Joy nor Dismay, he was just a number to his parents. Being the twelfth child of his father's third wife he was only expected to learn and to eventually carry out his duty to the Empire. He keeps contact with his mother, mearly to dutifully inform her that he yet lives and that he adds to her line still. His mother sends back her well wishes and informs him of his father's good health. All within the normal expectations of the Dikaon family structure.
18. How do interact with your social/hierarchical superiors? How about your inferiors? Cultural expections vary wildly. Most in the imperium tend to be deferential to their superiors. Those of power can vary wildly however, with many respecting only the competent and treating the others with disdain. Treatment of inferiors (who can do little to oppose you) varies quite a lot depending on your personality. How do you treat your inferiors & superiors?
Superiors are to be obeyed, inferiors are to be commanded. There is no malice or status in either of these relationships, as long as you do your job then you are to be commended for it and if not then you will most likely die. A kind word is a tool to more efficiently motivate those beneath you, so too are the sermons of hellfire and damnation that await those who do not fulfil their purpose or turn from the light of the Emperor.
19. Who opposes you most? Who is your greatest foe? As power comes to you, so come those who wish you harm.
House Injunctus has long had a bitter rivalry with the House Unterberoga. This rivalry boils down to a difference of interpretation of the life of the saint. Injunctus falsly believe that the saint proves that the purity of their soul is intrinsic and does not tarnish, Unterberogans know that the saint only proves that the light of purity may come from even the most debased of stations and only true adherance to duty and the path can make one pure.
20. What does your character think of the power of the warp? Despite the critical need of Navigators & Astropaths to keep the imperium running, most react to these powers with fear and disdain. Some of the more educated (and possibly heretical) sees it as the only way to keep the imperium safe. Most simply avoid them, unsure about their ability to properly cope.
The only thing keeping the good Confessor from purging every witch is the tempered mercy of the Emperor. As long as they serve the Imperium he will grudgingly tolerate their existance, but should they step out of line he will have their blood without a second thought.
21. What does your character think of xenos? As one who goes beyond the borders of the imperium, you will be faced with xenos. A great many believe that death is the only just fate for the alien. Others wish to steal their secrets & power, practicing the cold trade. Some believe an equilibrium can be reached, avoiding conflict with those willing to do so, and crushing those who are a clear and present danger.
The holy book is clear, the xenos are to be removed by any means.
22. What does your character think of heretics? Heretics have haunted the imperium since the fall of Horus. Some say they may yet be redeemed; but most believe that cleansing fire is too good for them.
Purge them with holy promethean and las fire.
23. How does your character react to archeotech? In the halo zone, far from the chaos of the eye of terror, many of humanity’s greatest technological works lie. Some of those are so far beyond mortal knowledge that they seem like magic. When faced with such wonders, what guides you: fear, fascination… or something darker?
What is this stirring, why are these things so familiar.
24. Do you believe the patriarch and his belief in a curse? While Parvus is convinced that the family is cursed, it is easy to understand how some may believe him mad. Yet doom has consistently followed the Filianatis dynasty for the last two centuries. Do you believe it mere coincidence? Conspiracy? Or is something greater haunting the bloodline?
Their is no coincidence in the universe, so it must be the work of the xenosm, the mutant, the unclean, or something darker still.
25. A train races down a track, with a fork coming up. On one side, a Xenos; on the other, a Heretic. In front of you lies a lever that will direct the train to one or the other, and you are too distant to alter the situation to kill both. Which do you kill?
The heretic for they are the cancer within.
26. The light of civilization: what does your character think of the imperium’s policies? The imperium has a long history of civilizing primitive tribes, and seeing it as their responsibility to bring law to all humanity. Do you think this is good? Are you a person who supports this goal? Opposes it? Are you a zealot supporting the emperor’s power?
The Emperor is all and all mankind belongs to the Emperor. These primitive tribes needs be shown the light.
27. Do you have any prejudices? Everyone has some prejudices. Scholars look down on the ignorant, the rich look down on the poor, the righteous looks down on the heretic, and the hardworking humble folk look down on the lazy wealthy. What prejudices have you inherited from your background? What prejudices have come from your life experience?
The greatest sins are sloth and decadence, those who indulge in such sins are unclean and should be purged. Work makes purity.
28. Do you have any recurring mannerisms? Many have odd tics, strange habits and preferences. Some only eat plants, some wear almost no clothing, some run everywhere. What are your habits?
A quote for every occasion and a verse for every action. The creed holds all within.
29. Who has taught you or tutored you? Do you have a mentor or teacher?
All my mentor's are long dead. Only the Emperor can be a constant companion.
30. How does your character consider the power of the warp? Despite the critical need of Navigators & Astropaths to keep the imperium running, most react to these powers with fear and disdain. Some of the more educated (and possibly heretical) sees it as the only way to keep the imperium safe.
Is this some witch's trick? I have answered this question before and am now locked into a pattern of answering it over again. The witch must be purged now.
31. How educated are you? Few people are highly educated in the imperium. But due to your power, you may have had the chance. Have you sought to learn? Is your learning more intuitive and experience-based, or have you learned from the past experience of others?
I was focused on the knowledge I was expected to learn, now I learn from the creed on a daily basis. Knowledge is a tool and a weapon, and a danger to those who hold it.
32. What is your character’s secret, and what will happen if it is discovered?
The whispers, they call still. Why did I not die that day?
33. What does your character do to relax?
Prayer and penitence at the edge of a knife. The flogging relieves the tension as the pain is dedicated to the Emperor's will. Also, knitting.
34. If you were given a single throne, how would they spend it?
A tithe to the Emperor gladly given.
35. What are the names of your parents and siblings, and what do they do?
Gunthred Unterberoga head patriarch of the house. Meris third wife to Gunthred Unterberoga. Many and varied are the siblings of Odwin, many are the cogs that keep the engines of society running and many more are the honored dead who gave their lives to buy but one more minute for their home.
36. What is your most sacred possession?
A single irradiated finger now turned black and metalic, said to be one of the holy remains of Saint Alexis suspended in holy water from the purity pools upon Gan and contained in a sealed sphere on a long chain around his neck.
37. Who is your characters closest friend?
Friends are a liability, there are peers, subordinates, superiors, and family.
38. What does your character love, fear, hate?
Love: The Emperor and his duty. Fear: The Emperor and the vile thing that lays within the Confessor even now. Hate: The unclean thing that resides in my very bones and the small portion of me that does not hate it enough.
39. Who is your character’s ideal mate?
She is already mine, with a faith the burns away the least of my doubts. My perfect wife, Alfasia my precious dear one.
40. What advice would you give your character?
You are going to die, make that death mean something.
41. Who would be your ultimate enemy?
Myself, or maybe the thing I am becoming...
42. How do you feel about plants & nature?
They exist and can be pretty, but they must serve a purpose.
43. What is your most treasured possession?
Is this some witch's trick? I have answered this question before and am now locked into a pattern of answering it over again. The witch must be purged now... wait, didn't I purge them already... why does this seem so familiar?
44. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Still playing this game and trying not to get my next character killed.
45. What would you do to kill time?
Prayer and contemplation is good for the soul.
