To reiterate, there were multiple carnifexes, warriors, and other large ones Khol couldn't Identify, along with a sea of gaunts.

What does Cassiel do? Sent out three marines.

It reminds me of the story in the bible where King David ordered his men to abandon/Kill Uriah. Anyone know that one? Read it and tell me I'm wrong.

Is that the one where the Israelites are too many so good keeps cutting the force. Everyone who drinks like a dog from the stream gets sent home?

I'm not expecting that they defeat the horde - if they draw it off to the South we can keep the ecclesiarchy busy and buy time for Makradon. If they can't draw them off, well, if they're down a few Carnifaxes, that's cool.

ok, the goggles provide a +20 in the book for spotting, while the asset states +10.

Being as there isnt much use for spotting, its +20, and since there is 2 of you Ill give you the full +40.
Its on Lucius or Khol to roll the BS + 40.

For purely selfish (smart) reasons, I say we have Khol make the roll. For one, he has a 5% better chance of success, and on a fail he has more FPs to spend than I do. Gotta play those odds. I don't mind rolling it if you want me to move things along.

^^ I like this plan.


With the absence of other voices/opinions, the leading option has been stated: Call Dario and update him on the situation using Deathwatch Cant - or even better Draco Cant if he understands it.

Once we have a response from him we can decide on whether or not we need to inform anyone else of anything or slip away like sexy bats in the night.

In light of everything, we have really gone above and beyond for the IG/PDF forces here so I don't see the need to call Donovan unless there is a major threat he should be made aware of.

As long as it's secured by imperial forces he's good.
However, if he was ok with his crew guarding it, he would have left already. You can call Donovan and tell him that there's Archeotech that needs to be secured, but not that that's your exfil?
Any imp force will work, Ecclesiarch even. Tell them there's a church or something? Lol.

Dario is confusing. Help me clarify.

Something is inbound on our position. He doesn't know if it is friendly or not, nor has he given any indication of how many somethings are coming.

How does he know it is exfil and not reinforcements or an enemy attack? Why is he asking us to call for security forces? Does he think it to be hostile?

Also, let's see if Lucius knows what these are. Going to use my Tales of the Void solo mode ability to get whatever Scholastic or Forbidden Lore necessary to identify these assholes. Difficulty of the roll??

If possible, in the time we are standing there sizing them up before any action happens, if I can set up overwatch whoever fits into the kill zone in front of me I will do that. Not sure if the rules allow that though.

If Lucius was able to establish an overwatch while they were all staring at one another then I believe they need to make an opposed agility test because the overwatch would trigger on the enemy's action.

That part of the rule literally never made sense to me and now, finally, I understand why it is there. For players like me who ask to do shit like this.

IF Lucius beats her, I believe he gets to pop off at her semi auto. Regardless of a successful hit or not, it forces a +0 pinning test on her.

As data starts to stream in, Ambrose says a small prayer of thanks and starts discretely transmitting attack vectors to the rest of the team.

tectonic activity originating from enemy forces tunneling under the location. initial analysis suggest the same insectoid orks as at the port; large concentrations. Primary entry vector at coordinates X1.Y1.Z1, secondary vectors at X2.Y2.Z2 and X3.Y3.Z3. moving into position to have high ground on primary entry vector.

Just to clarify, bra, I believe we have switched to the updated DH2 calculations for degrees of success/failure.

Basically there is no more 0 degrees of success. Any success counts as 1. So, 53 = 1 DoS --> 63, 2 DoS --> 73, 3 DoS --> 83, 4 DOS --> 92 5 DoS.

I read you Venerable one. Moving on the main breach. Hydrako was a literal blurred in his heavy Terminator armour as he left his post on their perimeter to engage the demos. His weapons were still both in his hands and they crackled and growled in anticipation.

Khol did the best of his skills to control such a small vehicle that was made for the standard human. Luckily they were still in the dunes when they crashed, otherwise it would've been painful. As he stands himself up, seeing the odd spots shift & move, his instinct is grabbing his shotgun. For what he has gone through on this planet, there was no point of finesse of his pistols. Seeing these female figures before him, Khol pulls the trigger quickly to fire a single shell into them. Thinking they're not going to last long against Astartes.

Lucius flew from the crash, landing with an easy thud thanks to his jump pack. His bolter was in his hand before his feet touched earth. He watched as the forms of the assassins rose to meet the astartes, his weapon discharging only moments later as they charged.

Reaction failed = 1 wound.

Round action: initiate grapple
WS 48 +20 (standard/aim) <68; rolled 85/no dice this round.

Albrecht was annoyed. Ambrose and Hydrako had claimed the primary entry point for whatever was coming, he might not get to face the largest of foes which he assumed the Tyranids were about to throw at them. As he ran out of the building he sent out a quick vox "I will deal with X2.Y2.Z2".

Once he was clear of the build Albrecht took to the sky's.

I suppose I will move into position to protect Ironbound, if he is close to me, and set up an overwatch on an area that is towards the closest vector given by Ambrose.

IC: Makradon had done what needed to be done, but the universe liked to be tricky and not exactly let them get on with the next thing too easily. He moves with purpose to protect their target, setting up an overwatch towards the closest location that might bring forth enemies for him to exterminate.
